Welcome!
Wherever we each have come from today, it's good to be together. Whether new or old, visitor or member, when we gather and worship, we are visibly representing the body of Christ. St. Mark’s is a downtown church that welcomes a wide diversity of people. We take the ministry of hospitality very seriously, based on the ministry of Jesus Christ whose level of acceptance was extraordinary. St. Mark’s Core Vocation: Feeding San Antonio with the Bread of Life Feeding the hungry with real food Feeding those who are hungry for knowledge and meaning Feeding those who are hungry for beauty and creativity Visitors: Please take a moment and fill out a Visitor Information Card which can be found in the pews. This can be placed in the offering plate or handed to an usher or greeter. If you would like to fill out a visitor card but did not fill one out at church, we have an online version at www.stmarks-sa.org/#/home/newcomers.
Please contact The Rev. Carol Morehead, Associate Rector, for information

210-226-2426 or [email protected].

2015 VBS Registration - St. Mark’s is excited to host Camp Discovery VBS this summer from
9:00am to noon, Monday through Thursday, June 22-25. Mrs. Shea Pollom and the Vacation Bible School committee are planning a wonderful experience for children age 4 and older, including programming for younger children of adult volunteers. At Camp Discovery, kids have fun as they explore the Bible, make new friends, sing songs, and learn how Jesus works through them in their everyday lives. Campers discover Bible truths that excite and challenge them. Jesus, our True North, gives them the wisdom and the courage to step out in faith and serve—whether they’re at school, playing with friends, or helping out at home.
Register campers at stmarks-sa.org/#/formation-ministries/2015-vbs.
Please remember to mail in the suggested fee of $25 per child with a family cap of $50. (St Mark’s, 315 East Pecan St, 78205)

CAMP CAPERS DAY CAMP AT ST. MARK’S - This summer we will host Camp Capers Day Camp on June 15 to 19. Designed for families who are unaware of Camp Capers or the Episcopal church, Day Camp encourages children who haven't been to Camp Capers before but are considering attending, children who don’t sleep away from home, and anyone else who would benefit from a fun, meaningful week, sharing the transforming, unconditional love of Jesus Christ. St Mark’s will provide the facilities, craft supplies, snacks, volunteers, and host families to provide housing for the Camp Capers staff. Day campers will be here from 9:00 to 3:00 and bring a lunch from home each day. Camp Capers counselors and staff will be the leaders of programs and activities. Questions? Interested in volunteering? Contact Gail at [email protected].
Specific Needs: - 7 host families providing room, meals, and daily transportation to/from St Mark’s for
pairs of 2 Camp Capers Staffers for the week. - Funds to purchase craft supplies for the Day Campers. - Snacks for the Day Campers and Capers staff. - Adults and teens to volunteer that week.
PARENTS' DAY OUT—SUMMER! - We are enrolling kids for this summer in our Parents' Day
Out program (limited spots available). We have busy days planned for the children starting with crafts, music time, story time, and play time. Nursery staff enjoy being with all of the great kids in the program. Our mission is to provide a safe environment that fosters caring, sharing, and learning. We are proud that we can offer such a rich program that makes the kids and parents happy! We would love to hear from you.
For more information, call the parish offices at 210-226-2426 or Janet V. Carrizales, Nursery Director at 210-319-9817 or by email at [email protected].
CAM NEEDS YOU! - St. Mark’s has a volunteer team working at Christian Assistance Ministry
(CAM) on McCullough East of Broadway on the first Monday of the month from 9.30-11.30am. We would love to add a few more volunteers. There is a need for people to help with food, clothing and helping clients find what they need.
