The automatic belt tightener will reduce the amount of maintenance while maintaining efficiency of the fan.

Combining the technology of the most efficient fans designed for agriculture and horticulture and the corrosion resistance of plastics, the DDPV models performs in the toughest of environments. These feature a housing made of heavy gauge fiberglass that provides strength and corrosion resistance while being easy to clean. Acme offers the DDPV models in Galvanized, Aluminum, and Stainless Steel construction. All models

are available with standard aluminum shutters or plastic shutters for further corrosion resistance. Acme’s stainless steel corrosion resistant Master-Ex® DDP fans offer an additional lifetime warranty on the propeller, cone, and housing.

The Acme Breezemaster High Volume fan model BDR72 was designed with the Dairy’s in mind. This 72” fan is a perfect marriage of industrial strength and agricultural economy. This 72” fan was designed for use with a 3 HP motor capable of being driven using a variable frequency drive for maximum energy savings. The wide-cambered propeller is designed for the best air movement over the wide range of static pressures found in modern tunnel and cross-vent applications. The bearings are pre-lubricated and housed in a split-pillow block housing design that maintains perfect alignment. The bearings are rated for 200,000 hours and feature Acme’s 5 year limited warranty.

The Acme model DC fan is offered for agricultural applications requiring large volumes of air. The propeller is a six bladed, camber-twist design that incorporates a unique dihedral tip. This prop design is one of the quietest on the market. The non-overloading prop design maintains uniform horsepower requirements within a catalog range of static pressures. The frame is heavy-walled steel tubing for structural strength. The bearings are pre-lubricated and housed in a split-pillow block housing design that maintains perfect alignment. The bearings are rated for 200,000 hours and feature Acme’s 5 year limited warranty.

Acme’s unique Fan-Jet is a special tube pressurizing fan with curved stationary discharge vanes that recover the rotational energy of discharging air to increase performance capacity and efficiency. The high performance propellers are matched to the size and performance requirements of the Fan-Jet. The bearings are pre-lubricated and housed in a split-pillow block housing design that maintains perfect alignment. The bearings are rated for 200,000 hours and feature Acme’s 5 year limited warranty.

Acme’s OSEG or CSEG evaporative cooling system offers ease of installation and very low maintenance. The gutters

UV protection and rugged stainless steel top offers many years of trouble-free operation. The gutter is mounted level and serves as a retention

tank. The gutter may be mounted either on a wall stringer using stainless steel brackets or directly on a level concrete pad (removing the load from the wall).

The Acme control system is an electronic device used for environmental control of a livestock building. It allows a user to maintain a specific target temperature by controlling the operation of ventilation and heating equipment. Cooling stages can be configured to activate systems in continuous or timer mode. Static pressure controls the inlet vents and if desired the tunnel inlet. Some models are programmable and can be monitored through an off-site PC using optional equipment. Once programmed the entire setup can be easily transferred to other houses. Backup systems are available so if the computer power should fail the system will be controlled using mechanical thermostats.
