WELCOMEThe Association of Canadian Intercollegiate Investment Clubs [ACIIC] is a collaborative initiative of the executives from Canada’s top University Investment Clubs. This organization provides the University Investment Clubs with the opportunity to benefit from a network, educational platform, and mentorship program, in addition to a wider resource base and greater opportunities for professional development.

We are reaching out for support for our Association’s key activities throughout the year. These activities include: a landmark annual conference held in downtown Toronto, an inaugural social event at Queen’s University, a mentorship program, and an analyst program. Through these events, students will be exposed to several educational sessions, networking opportunities and a speaker series.

This package will provide you with a brief description of the Association and will outline the variety of ways in which you can become involved. We strongly believe that a partnership with your organization will produce mutual benefits.

We look forward to hearing your thoughts and invite you to contact us with questions or requests for more information.

Sincerely,

ACIIC Co-Presidents

THE OPPORTUNITY

University Investment Clubs have developed into a mature set of organizations that provide enormous value for their members, yet they remain fragmented from each other. With little interaction and collaboration between them, there is substantial value left on the table that the Association of Canadian Intercollegiate Investment Clubs can unlock by bringing these clubs together.

The knowledge and expertise that has accumulated within these organizations deserves a greater level of intercollegiate sharing. As structural changes persist in the global financial industry, we must remain adaptive and resourceful. ACIIC can leverage our clubs’ diverse backgrounds and experiences to maximize our collective potential.

OUR MANDATE

ACIIC is a community of University Investment Clubs in Canada. It is a forum for collaboration between ambitious students who are passionate about Finance and Investing. We seek to provide the member University Investment Clubs a network, educational platform, mentorship program, in addition to a wider resource base and greater opportunities for professional development.

The landmark conference is scheduled to take place in downtown Toronto in March 2014, with a social hosted in Kingston, Ontario in October 2013.

Tight-Knit CommunityMembership in ACIIC delivers instant access to a community of driven, focused finance professionals. Members are encouraged to network, learn, and educate each other through the course of a life-long partnership in the Association.

Analyst ProgramEvery ACIIC analyst is required to participate in a rigorous, structured program where teams of students with members from each school work together to publish a thorough research report on an industry of their choice. Reports are published on ACIIC.com and judged, critiqued, and challenged by a forum of analysts.

Alumni Database Embedded in ACIIC’s fabric is a strong culture of mentorship which is reinforced by a database of able professionals willing to offer advice, share insights about their respective firms and prepare analysts for the recruiting process.
