Kindergarten technology
Not so much, simple and easy to use computers Television (Sesame Street, Mr.. Roger’s
Neighborhood)
Macintosh Computers
Floppy Disks
High school technologyMore computers, better software, great
technology More Computers, Faster Internet, Email
Microsoft Office (very useful!), Photoshop
Smart Boards instead of chalk boards
College technology
Upgraded technology Iclicker
High end projectors
My very own laptop!!
A vivid technology learning experience Myspace/Facebook
Social networking sites allowed for interaction on a global and local level.
Experiencing other people’s worlds through other people’s words.
A technology I want to use in my classroom Digital Readers allow for students to carry
thousands of books in the palm of their hand anywhere and everywhere.
My vision of the classroom of the future
I want classrooms to be able to virtually change their settings to enhance the learning experience. The class could be in India in one minute and then on Saturn the next minute.
A challenge for teaching Availability/
Accessibility Some students will
not be able to gain access to a computer as often as others could.
There might not be enough computers provided for students in certain schools.
Words of wisdom "Good teaching is
one-forth preparation and three-fourths theater."- Gail Godwin
