Lake Street Dive

Lake Street Dive is a multi-genre, jazzy pop band from Boston. Since the February 2016 release of their album Side Pony on Nonesuch Records, the band has been a tour-de-force, selling out 42 shows including the iconic 6,000 seat Radio City Music Hall in NYC. They were invited to play at the White House, on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Today Show, and A Prairie Home Companion.

The Owl and Nightingale players of Gettysburg College present King Lear, by William Shakespeare. After ruling for many years, King Lear divides his estate amongst his children. But after succumbing to a prideful vanity that clouds his judgment, madness descends to leave him alone in the wilderness, bringing tragic consequences for all. With guest actor Paris Peet as King Lear, and directed by Chris Kauffman, Associate Professor of Theatre at Gettysburg College.

Both a Newbery Honor Book and an American Library Association Notable Book, Enchantment Theater’s production is in collaboration with the author and in celebration of the book’s 70th anniversary.
