    This presentation has been prepared to firstly identify the drivers for sustainable

    construction and the focuses on importance of water and energy conservation. In

    order to ensure sustainable solutions the presentation looks at what technologiesare available within Qatar. The process to ensure cost effective sustainable MEP

    solutions is considered along with the utilization of the tools necessary to guide

    designers how to demonstrate targeted and achieve energy efficient solutions .

    warming and climate change are

    expected to have a cataclysmic effect

    across the globe. The worst effects of

    climate change can be avoided if

    greenhouse gases incorporating carbondioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere are

    stabilised instead of being allowed to

    increase.

    country.

    Qatar CommitmentQatar has a vision whereby construction projects should consider becoming

    sustainable with no specific international target. Local requirements for Qsas have

    been implemented to achieve this vision.

    Energy modeling, or energy simulation, is a method for predicting the energy

    consumption of a building. The analysis considers the buildings numerous thermal

    characteristics including the materials of the walls and rest of the building envelope,

    the size and orientation of the building, how the building is occupied and operated, and

    the local climate.
