Current activities
Wrap up all courses and teaching materials Prepare enough hard and e-copies of all curriculum and
training materials Prepare student files for student mobility at KTH or Polito
in Spring semester for up to 3 mo’s Last exchange/training mobility visits for Uzbek teachers
from 3 weeks up to 10 weeks long period Dissemination actions More work with industry engineers in R&D works 3 books are expected to finish by Spring of 2010

Some figures In total of 28 professors, lecturers and administrative staff are
involved from 4 universities 3 training courses developed for university faculty and engineers:
CAD/CAE with I-DEAS 12.0, CAD/CAE with Solid Edge 20.0, MATLAB x, MAPLE x, MS Excel x for engineers and researchers
Trainings and workshops for 45 faculty members from JizPI and TARI in 3 courses
5 seminars (Auto industry, Math. Modeling, CAD/CAE/CAM systems, etc) arranged for 30 faculty members and administrative staff from TARI and JizPI

Lessons learned or conclusions1. Clear plans and ideas to be set and reviewed.
2. Finding very motivated people with a strong will to learn and gain new skills.
3. Establishing long term and perspective coop links with local industry.
4. Encouragement and Motivation. Focusing a lot on students and recruited staff.
5. Language courses are must. E.g. our wins and losses.
6. Fast decision making and independently taking actions. Task and power sharing/distribution amongst project partners.
7. People make a change and difference in the society not hardware or dummy computers or etc. Technology itself is not everything, it is all about skills that people have or have gained or will gain and finally use. E.g. labs vs. our staff.
