Acheivements of SAE Club during session 2017-2018

SAE ( Society of Automotive Engineers India) Collegiate Club of Mechanical Engineering

Department have manufactured 4 Gokart Vehicles, 1 Electric Solar Vehicle and 1 Supra

vehicle and participated in 6 National level events.

Event No.1

“Team Abhyuday” of SAE Collegiate Club of S.B Jain Institute of Technology ,

Management and Research, Nagpur participated in “Students Kart Design Challenge”

2017-18 organised by Society of Mechanical and Automotive Engineers, Hyderabad held

between 2 Jan-5 Jan 2018. 19 members team participated in the event and secured Best

Co-Ordination Team Award & 6th

Position out of 30 teams.

19 members of “Team Abhyuday” of SAE Collegiate Club of S.B Jain Institute of Technology ,

Management and Research, Nagpur in Students Kart Design Challenge 2017-18 organised by

Society of Mechanical and Automotive Engineers, Hyderabad

Event No.2

“Team Ultimate Karters” of SAE Collegiate Club of S.B Jain Institute of technology ,

Management and Research, Nagpur participated in Indian Karting Championship

presented by Nexus Motor Sports Racing Academy. Kolhapur. 14 members participated

in the event . The team ranked 13th

out of 92 teams.

14 members of “Team Ultimate Karters” of SAE Collegiate Club of S.B Jain Institute of Technology ,

Management and Research, Nagpur participating in Indian Karting Championship, 2017-18 organised

by Nexus Motor Sports, Kolhapur.

Event No.3

“Team Ultimate Karters” of SAE Collegiate Club of S.B Jain Institute of technology ,

Management and Research, Nagpur participated in Auto India Racing Championship,

season 2 organised by SCS Technology, Pune. 19 members participated in the event .The

team Ultimate Karters secured 2nd

position in qualifying race out of 52 teams.

16 members of “Team Ultimate Karters” of SAE Collegiate Club of S.B Jain Institute of

Technology , Management and Research, Nagpur participating in Auto India racing championship ,

season -2, 2017-18 organised by SCS Technology, Pune.

Event No.4

“Team Abhyuday” of SAE Collegiate Club of S.B Jain Institute of Technology ,

Management and Research, Nagpur participated in “International Series of Karting” 2018

conducted by Mean Metal Motors Pvt. Ltd, Vishakhapatnam under the aegis of FMSCI

( The Federation of Motor Sports Club of India held from 26/02/18 to 01/02/2018. Total

17 members participated in the event. The team secured 4th

position ( 3rd

runner up ) in

International Series of Karting, Visakhapatnam,2018.

In the first event, the team “Ultimate Karters” with 20 team members have participated in

“Trinity Karting Championship” a National Level GoKart Event (NKRC-2016-2017)

held at Kolhapur organized by Virtual Motor Sports .The team performed well in dynamic

events in which they enroll their name in top 20 out of 96 teams from all over India.

“Ultimate Karters” of SAE Collegiate Club of S.B Jain Institute of Technology , Management and Research,

Nagpur with 20 team members participating in “Trinity Karting Championship” a National Level

GoKart Event (NKRC-2016-2017) held at Kolhapur organized by Virtual Motor Sports.

Team “Ultimate Karters” of SAE Collegiate Club of S.B Jain Institute of Technology ,

Management and Research, Nagpur with 20 team members have participated in “AUTO

INDIA RACING CHAMPIONSHIP 2016-17, Pune” organized by Dhole Patil Education

Society, Pune.

“Ultimate Karters” of SAE Collegiate Club of S.B Jain Institute of Technology ,

Management and Research, Nagpur with 20 team members have participated in

“AUTO INDIA RACING CHAMPIONSHIP 2016-17, Pune

Event No.3

Team “Elite Racers” of SAE Collegiate Club of S.B Jain Institute of Technology ,

Management and Research, Nagpur consisting of 17 members participated in SUPRA

SAEINDIA - 2017. The six-day event was organised by Maruti Suzuki Student

Formula which was held at Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida. In all, 126

teams participated in the event from various parts of the country. Only two 2 teams

registered their names from Nagpur (Vidarbha-Region) and one among them was the

“Elite Racers” of SBJITMR.

Team members of Elite Racers at SUPRA SAEINDIA-2017, Maruti Suzuki Student formula

racing championship at Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida.
