Sepia TutorialOctober/November 2009
Uber-talented Jan Tinklenberg originated this fabulous technique that mimics the look of sepia-toned photos -- a great antique look.
Supplies: - Caramel or Tan Cardstock- Vanilla or White Ink- Black or Dark Brown Ink- Caramel Ink- Medium Brown Ink- Sponge Daubers- Paintbrush- StampOptional: Colored Pencils, Chalks, or Chalk Pencils in muted colors
Step One:Stamp the image on the caramel cardstock.
Step Two:Use the paintbrush apply vanilla/white ink to add highlights to the image.

Step Three:Allow ink to dry so that it does not smear.
Step Six:Use the sponge dauber to apply the brown ink around the edges of the cardstock. Mat and embellish as desired.
Step Four:Use the pencils or chalks to lightly color the images. The images should not be fully colored; rather just tinted with the pencils or chalks with a hint of color.
Step Five:Use one of the sponge daubers to add caramel ink around the im-age to the edges of the cardstock.
