HELLO ACES SUPPORTERS!

I am Anthony Yang and I go by Tony. I am a former ACES student at Farnsworth Aerospace School on the East Side of St. Paul. This year I am a freshman at Johnson High School and a classroom volunteer for ACES.

ACES is important because it gives students a place where they can come and learn, and have fun while doing so. After a long day of school, kids need to learn in interesting, hands-on ways. That’s what ACES is all about. ACES makes a school day complete!

The two things I remember best about my days as an ACES student are my E-Mentor and service learning. E-Mentoring was really fun. My mentor listened, responded, and didn’t hate on my opinion. For service learning, we learned about the issue, created informational posters, took action, and at the end went to Mall of America and presented our project!

This year, I’m a volunteer with ACES. I really like the ACES program and want to help other kids. I can be there for them, and the kids know they can come to me. I also like helping out and being a role model for other people. It is really fun to volunteer because you get to hang out with really cool kids.

ACES is great. What else do I remember? Well, we got to go to cool events if we did well. The one I remember most is a Timberwolves game, where we had the BEST seats in the house!

Thanks for making ACES possible.
