IV. ASSUMPTIONNo assumption indicated

V. ALTERNATIVE COURSES OF ACTION

ACA 1Direct Changeover Implementation

The new reward system will be implemented throughout the organization. The old system is stopped and the following day the new system is used.

ACA 2Pilot Implementation

The new reward system will be implemented on one section or department of the organization first. This department will be completely changed over to the new reward system. Any defects are ironed out before the new system is extended to the whole organization.

ACA 3Phased Implementation

The new reward system will be implemented across the organization one step at a time. The implementation will be in different subsequent time slots.

VI. ANALYSISACA 1 – Direct Changeover Implementation

Advantages:- The effect of change will be seen across the organization- The new reward system will be tested immediately

Disadvantages:- Deficiencies that may occur are organization wide- The employees are forced to adapt the new system

immediately

ACA 2 – Pilot Implementation

Advantages- The risk will only be applied in one area or department

in the beginning- Any deployment issues are identified and addressed

before it will be extended throughout the organization

Page 3: Ace Technology - Final Analysis

Disadvantages- It will take more time to implement the new reward

system across the organization- Deployment issues may start to occur in other

departments.

ACA 3 – Phased implementationAdvantage

- Less prone to risk- The employees will have time to adapt

Disadvantages- It will take too long to get the new reward system

completely in place

VII. CONCLUSION

Decision Matrix:

Criteria ACA 1 ACA 2 ÀCA 3

Manageability 3 2 1

Cost Effectiveness 3 2 1

Risk involved 1 2 3

Goal-directed 3 2 1

TOTAL 10 8 4

Good = 1, Better = 2, Best = 3

Definition of Terms:Manageability – the convenience of the management to handle or control problems without much difficultyCost effectiveness – the implementation should be done with the least costRisk Involved – within acceptable risk parametersGoal-Directed – the attainment of its purpose; to be implemented

effectively and efficiently

I therefore conclude that the best ACA to solve the problem is ACA 1. Direct Changeover Implementation - The new reward system will be implemented
