August 2017 Join us on September 15th to celebrate National Truck Driver Appreciation Week! In honor of all the hardworking drivers here at Ace Doran, we will be holding a Drivers Appreciation Day on September 15th, from 8am to 2pm, during the National Truck Drivers Appreciation Week. FROM THE DESK OF JIM COLLINS about supply and demand. The current climate of increased freight demand, coupled with tightening truck capacity, will continue to cause upward pressure on freight rates. If we are doing our job as a carrier, this should result in more and better opportunities for all of you. As the December deadline for the federal mandate on ELD's draws closer this will likely result in even greater capacity issues, creating even more opportunities for those who are ready to take advantage of them. Please be sure that you are one of them. I would also like to ask that each of you pay particular attention Ace Doran Monthly Newsletter It's hard to believe that Fall is right around the corner! In the next several weeks Summer vacations will be wrapping up, schools will be back in session and football season will be kicking off. My oh my, where has the Summer gone? The good news is that our industry has the opportunity to experience three strong months in August, September and October before winter weather and the holidays begin to impact our business in November and December. As you know, in our business, as with most, it's all The event will be held at multiple Bennett and Ace Doran locations including Ace’s main office in Cincinnati OH as well as A & H Trucking in Cleveland OH. Attending drivers will be treated to a lunch which will include grilled steaks in Cincinnati and fresh tacos being served up in Cleveland. Food, music, raffles, giveaways and more, this event will be one you wont want to miss! We hope to see you there in September! Driver Appreciation Day to the Unsafe Driving messages that are being sent out each day. We believe in the importance of our Safety Culture and will continue to reinforce and grow it every day. We do this because we are interested in protecting you, your driving record, and the safety of the general public. Driver of the Month Congratulations Danny Kier, Ace Doran Contractor of the Month for June!
Danny Kier has been with Ace Doran terminal 039 Middletown, Ohio since 1994.
Son to LeRoy who recently passed away, Dan is a 2nd generation owner operator with Ace Doran. Dan is very reliable and knowledgeable of the trucking industry. His professionalism, mannerism along with his well-kept equipment has brought many compliments and thanks from our customers.
Recently he took" Safety Is Priority One" to a second level. When Danny and another driver were on a trip to Texas the other driver became ill. Danny would not leave him and made sure that his priority was to get the loads delivered, the driver and their equipment safely back to Ohio.
Thank you Danny for a job well done and making a fellow drivers safety a priority one.

Roadside Inspections:
1) Call Safety immediately at (800) 829-0929
2) Email the inspection to [email protected] or fax to (513) 853-3917
3) If vehicle violations are discovered, vehicle must be repaired and receipts must be submitted asap
4) Vehicle defects discovered during the roadside inspection must be included on your daily vehicle inspection report, (DVIR), located on your log

90 days maintenance reports should be turned in when in quarterly inspections are due.
