Melvin Goodwyn has over 25 years experience as a choral director in Prince William County, Virginia and is the Coordinator of the Performing Arts School at Woodbridge Sr. High School. Choirs under Mr. Goodwyns direction have consistently received superior ratings and gold medal awards at the district, state, and national festivals. With degrees from Westminster Choir College and Catholic University, Mr. Goodwyn has served as president of both the Virginia Choral Directors Association of VMEA and the Virginia Chapter of ACDA.

Donald Cotton has been on the staff of the Childrens Chorus of Washington for 17 years and conducts their Young Mens Ensemble and Treble Chorus. He also serves as the principal accompanist for their Concert Chorus and Chamber Ensemble. This is Mr. Cottons 23rd year teaching music in the Diocese of Arlington in Northern Virginia. He is currently at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic School in Clifton, Virginia. Prior to teaching at St. Andrews, Mr. Cotton taught for 22 years at Queen of Apostles Catholic School in Alexandria, Virginia where he established an exemplary music education program. The schools choir under Mr. Cottons direction had become known throughout the Arlington Diocese for its extraordinary performances. At the invitation of the Archdiocese of Washington, Mr. Cotton has prepared the schools choir for tapings of the televised Christmas Day Mass at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. In 2005 they were invited to sing for Mass at the Arlington Dioceses Pilgrimage to the Shrine. The choir has performed at the White House and on the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center. The choir was also invited to participate in An American Cantata: 2000 Voices with the National Symphony Orchestra. Repeatedly, the choir was invited to perform on live television for the annual Worldwide School Childrens Holy Hour at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. Mr. Cotton has also served as accompanist for childrens choral festivals throughout Europe, South America, and the United States. Mr. Cotton received his Bachelor of Music in Piano Accompanying from Shenandoah Conservatory of Music in Winchester, Virginia. Jane Moore Kaye performs in the greater D.C. area as an active collaborative pianist and recitalist. She shares her love of choral music as accompanist for the ACDA Voices United Conference (held annually on the campus of George Mason University) and other area district and state choral festivals where she has accompanied for Weston Noble, Eleanor Daley, Dale Warland, Anton Armstrong, John Rutter, David Brunner and Joe Miller. As organist at Providence Presbyterian Church, she helped oversee the installation of a Lively-Fulcher tracker pipe organ in 2007. In the community, Jane is the Artist Liaison for the chamber music series Music & Arts at Providence. She is vocal coach and accompanist for the University Chorale at George Mason University and accompanist for the Fairfax Choral Society Childrens Choruses. Most recently, Jane was one of two accompanists for the United Choirs of Proms Choral Festival in Prague, Czech Republic under the batons of Andre Thomas and Anton Armstrong. Other highlights of her career have included performances at the White House, the National Cathedral, The Kennedy Center and high-level Pentagon events to include the National Prayer Breakfast and the prayer service following 9/11. Jane earned a BM in Piano Performance at Emporia State University, Emporia, Kansas and an MM in Piano Performance at Sam Houston University in Huntsville, Texas. From 1993 2010, she was Professor and Director of Choral Activities at the Ohio State University in Columbus where she also served as Associate Director for the School of Music from 2008 2010. Choirs under her direction have performed at regional and national conventions of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) and at state and regional conferences of the National Association of Music Education (MENC). She has published over seventy articles on choral music in various refereed journals, and wrote two chapters in Wisdom, Wit and Will: Women Conductors on their Art, (GIA, 2009). She serves on the editorial boards of The Choral Scholar, the official publication of the National Collegiate Conductors Organization (NCCO), and the ACDA Choral Journal, and is also the choral column editor for the Canadian Music Educator. Paul Caldwell has been Artistic Director of the Youth Choral Theater since 2001. Under his leadership, the organization has achieved a new level of recognition and more than doubled in size and scope. His focus on contemporary repertoire, multi-media and interdisciplinary performance projects, and music from diverse world cultures garnered national recognition when he was awarded the Chorus America/ASCAP prize for Adventurous Programming in 2006. Paul recently accepted a permanent summer post as resident conductor for the Sing A Mile High Childrens Choral Festival in Denver, appearing in alternate years with Rollo Dilloworth. The 2012 season also marks this third engagement as a conductor for the Vocalizze Choral Festival in Lisbon, Portugal. Their work is a staple in the repertoire of ensembles worldwide and has been performed at Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, the Chicago Symphony Center, the Sydney Opera House, and throughout Europe, Asia, and Africa. In the past three years, the National Endowment for the Arts has funded three different commissioning projects which enabled them to create new works for American choruses. Paul is a member of Chorus Americas Board of Directors (Executive Committee) and chairs the organizations Programs and Education Committee. He also serves on the Advisory Board of the New Orleans Childrens Chorus. In 2008, he was recognized for his contribution to the choral community nationwide at the National Performing Arts Conference when he was selected as the recipient of Chorus Americas Michael J. MASTERCLASS CONDUCTORS

Native to Richmond, VA, Jacob Devol is a junior at Virginia Commonwealth University, pursuing a degree in Music Education with a concentration in Vocal-Choral music with a minor in Religious Studies. In addition to his studies, he is employed as a vocalist at First Presbyterian Church in Richmond, VA and as a pianist at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Glen Allen, VA. Starting in the Fall of 2014, he will also be teaching voice lessons at Powhatan Music and Sound, in Powhatan, VA. Choral music has been an intriguing passion of his for some time now; he loves how the choral performance can create an immersive, transcendent experience among singers. He enjoys the collaborative nature of the art, in which the director and the musicians must maintain excellent communication in order to have a successful and fulfilling performance. He hopes most to work in secondary music education, while possibly directing a church music ministry. Lucas Link hails from Baltimore, Maryland and is a student at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) where he studies composition with Dr. Linda Dusman, conducting and choral performance with Dr. Stephen Caracciolo, and voice with Joseph Regan. In addition to his studies, Lucas will begin serving as a tenor choral professional at Baltimore's Old St Paul's Episcopal under the direction of John Smedstad in the Fall. He has been fortunate to work as a workshop composer with the Baltimore Choral Arts Society and the Princeton Singers, and as a studying conductor he recently had the great privilege to conduct the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra in a workshop given by New York Philharmonic Associate Conductor, Case Scaglione. After graduating with a degree in Composition from UMBC, he plans to study conducting in graduate school.
