Respected Sir, Greetings! About Accreditation Commission for Conformity Assessment Bodies (ACCAB): ACCAB is the India's First Private Sector, Independent and International Accreditation Body. Accreditation services are also provided by private sector/non-government organizations and there are many instances that such types of organizations are already operating in other countries. We attach our brochure for your reference and record. Please find attached herewith the order dated 17thJanuary 2014 of the Competition Appellate Tribunal and the Synopsis of the said order for your perusal and record. We request you to study the order carefully. Further, we wish to draw your attention particularly to the Prayers considered by the Hon'ble Appellate under Para 5 of the said order. Also we would like to draw your special attention to Page No. 31 Para - 9: wherein the Hon 'ble COMPAT ORDER mentions, and QUOTE "we have heard Ms Kohli, Shri Mayank Bansal, Shri Sumit Babar and also Sri R. M Sharma on behalf of opponents it was pointed out that at the time when the notifications were issued the informant was nowhere in the picture. They further explained to us that even at that time the notification suggests that any other accreditation body comparable with the OP 1 or as the case may be OP 2 in their international standards were acceptable to the government companies. " UNQUOTE.
