Over the holiday break I was asked if it was possible to have an accordion style, horizontally navigated presentation like this free website template: http://www.premiumpixels.com/freebies/stitched-fabric-accordion As usual, I accepted the challenge and started work. Unfortunately the hyperlinks don't work on slideshare, but if you download the template and try it, you'll notice that clicking on the presentation text doesn't advance the screen. Instead, you have to click on the horizontal navigation buttons (though the arrow keys still work!). This vertical navigation is created using basic shapes (rectangles + triangles) merged together using the union shape tool. Add a hyperlink on the top and voila.
