Honda Sensing, our intelligent suite of safety and driver-assist technologies, improves your situational awareness and, in some cases, intervenes to help avoid a collision or lessen its severity *. The Accord features all of the very latest upgrades – giving you more peace of mind than ever before.

Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow keeps you at a safe distance from the car in front of you at all times. The Lane Keeping Assist System helps to keep you in-between the lines. And a more sensitive Road Departure Mitigation System now works on even narrower roads than before.

Other safety features new to the Accord include a Cross Traffic Monitoring System that detects oncoming traffic when you reverse and alerts you of any oncoming cars. There’s also Smart Park Assist which uses sensor technology to help park in those tricky spots. And that’s in addition to all the other smart safety features that already come standard.

LANE DEPARTURE WARNING

When the vehicle enters the warning area, the LKAS alerts you with slight steering wheel vibration as well as a warning display.

ROAD DEPARTURE MITIGATION SYSTEM

Alerts and helps to assist you when the system detects a possibilit of your vehicle unintentionally crossing over detected lane markings.

LANE KEEPING ASSIST SYSTEM

Provides steering input to help keep the vehicle in the middle of a detected lane and provides audible and visual alerts if the vehicle is detected drifting out of its lane.

ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL WITH LOW-SPEED FOLLOW

Helps maintain a constant vehicle speed and a set following interval behind a vehicle detected ahead of yours and, if the detected vehicle comes to a stop, can decelerate and stop your vehicle, without you having to keep your foot on the brake or the accelerator. When ACC with LSF slows your vehicle by applying the brakes, your vehicle’s brake lights will illuminate.

FORWARD COLLISION WARNING

Alerts you when it detects the possibility of you vehicle colliding with the vehicle in front of yours.

COLLISION MITIGATION BRAKING SYSTEM

Can assist you when there is a possibility of your vehicle colliding with a vehicle or a pedestrian detected in front of yours. The CMBS is designed to alert you when a potential collision is determined,as well as to reduce your vehicle speed to help minimise collision severity when a collision is deemed unavoidable.
