Musical CareerJustin Timberlake is know, first and foremost, for his musical achievements. In 1995 at the young age of 16, Justin Timberlake became the founding member and lead singer of the boy’s band ‘N Sync. ‘N Sync became extremely popular and “blew up” the charts. Justin broke from the band in 2002, and released his first solo debut album “Justified”. From there, his career thrived. In 2003 alone, Justin won three MTV Music Video Awards for his popular songs “Cry Me A River” and “Rock Your Body”. He won this award again in 2007 not only for his musical talent, but for his choreography skills. Timberlake has also earned the best selling single once in 2006, and again in 2009 for his hits “My Love” and “Dead and Gone”. Quickly Justin was becoming a worldwide musical sensation. In 2007 he landed two additional other awards; #1 single “SexyBack” and #1 album “FutureSex/LoveSounds”. This talented, handsome, well-liked man clearly was a rising star.

Justin Timberlake is not only a highly successful musician, but has achieved much in the television and movie industry. Justin’s first experience on camera was in 1993, even before he started with music, when he appeared on “The New Mickey Mouse Club”. Timberlake’s future television work has been concentrated to comedy and the younger audience, such as his role in “Model Behavior” and guest appearance on “The Cleveland Show”. Starting in

2005, Justin has appeared on the well know show “Saturday Night Live” as a variety of characters in numerous skits.

Justin’s flair for talent has shown in acting also through the many movie productions he has starred starred in, such as “The Love Guru”, “Yogi Bear”, “The Social Network”, “Shrek the Third”, “Friends With Benefits”, and “Alpha Dog” Justin is currently filming his new movie “Now”, where he plays the lead role of Will Salas.

Justin’s accomplishments extend to the well-known Grammys, annual awards given by the American National Academy of Recording Arts and Scientists. In 2003, he won male Pop Vocal Performance with his song “Cry Me A River”. He also won Pop Vocal Album for his “brilliant, simple, electrifying” album “Justified”. Timberlake attended the Grammys

again in 2008 and won male Pop Vocal Performance for “What Goes Around... Comes Around” and Dance Recording for “LoveStoned/I Think She Knows”.

Justin Timberlake hasn’t stopped there. He has created record labels and companies such as JayTee Records and Tennman Records. Jaytee Records was his first record company, and Tennman Records was launched solo. Justin also has a popular, evolutionary clothing line, William Rast, created 2006 and is now sold worldwide. William Rast is most famous for their stylish denim collection.

Timberlake continues his accomplishments with his charity work. He created The Justin

Timberlake Foundation in 2000 that is dedicated to promote musical education in public schools as an essential

component of child development. As he said, "This is about an opportunity that every young person should enjoy, no matter what career they aspire to. I

want to do everything I can to make sure other people can benefit from

music education." Justin also supports Habitat for Humanity, Mercy Corps, Shriners Hospital for Children, and many more.
