Accomplishment Report( July 2010 to February 2012 )
Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in general is one of the agencies of the
national government tasked to prevent and suppressed all destructive fires. It is also responsible in the enforcement of the Fire Code of the Philippines and other related laws, investigate all causes of fire and file the proper complaint if deem necessary and in times of national emergency and upon direction of the president of the Philippines, assist the AFP in meeting the national emergency.
San Simon Fire Station
San Simon BFP was established only on the fourth day of September 2001 and temporarily situated at the rear portion of San Simon New Public Market occupying with approximately one hundred (100) square meters. At present, no lot donation was obtained from any individual although constant effort was made by this office. Despite its meager sources, personnel have managed to sustain its improvement in order to cater clients with a more conducive working area with the help of Local Chief Executive.

Considering that the ideal ratio of firefighter to population is 1:2,000, San Simon Fire Station having
a total Seven (7) assigned personnel has an actual Firefighter to Population ratio of 1:6,006 and,
The Fire truck to personnel ratio of this unit is 1:7 considering this ideal ratio of 1:14. Present number of personnel to population ratio doesn’t meet the ideal ratio of needed personnel, and still this office has a seven (7) personnel shortage.
