An additional comment:We are very pleased that many female bikers use our products. We would like to ask these “bikeresses” not to take offence if some texts in this catalogue use the male form, for instance “his” instead of “his/hers”. This is only done in order to simplify the texts, especially as many products in our line-up are a direct result of input received from our female staff members and test riders.

We are happy and proud to present to you our new Export Catalogue 2009. Since the last catalogue came out in 2006 there have been many new bike models added by

BMW, and subsequently many more parts have been developed by us. We have added the new models and their newly developed parts to the new catalogue; with over 650 pages and thousands of images, this is the most comprehensive catalogue of its kind.

Why are accessories needed? Generally, BMW motorcycles are well equipped. Our aim though is to allow each model to be individualised so that the rider enjoys better riding comfort, added safety, improved appearance and increased riding fun.

Our ERGO parts program is designed to substantially improve the riding comfort. ERGO seats, handle bar risers, screens, adjustable control levers, footrest lowerings and a host of other ERGO parts allow you to choose a more comfortable riding position and have superior weather protection – that way even long distance touring is much more enjoyable.

Our engine protection bars, mudguard extensions, reservoir covers, mudguard extensions and much more protect you and your bike from damage. In many cases, our wide selection of guards and protectors will significantly reduce the cost of repairs in case of a fall.

Those who would like to improve the appearance of their bike will not be disappointed. A good portion of our catalogue is dedicated to luggage and touring equipment. Our own love for touring and long distance travelling has been used to good effect to continually develop and refine our various bags and luggage solutions.

Lastly, the “Accessories” section at the end of the catalogue includes many additional parts, service items and accessories for your bike, and also some parts that are not for the vehicle but for you, the rider, to enjoy.

MultiPodExtremely versatile and robust, the MultiPod’s revolutionary adjustment range allows you to easily place virtually any elec-tronic device in the optimal field of view location.Available are 3 different types of MultiPod:

MultiPod “Long” (146 mm/~5.7”)The “Classic” MultiPod. Robust with quality workmanship. Pre-cision machined form high quality aluminium alloy.

MultiPod “Long Carbon” (146 mm/~5.7”)The sporty version MultiPod. Extreme toughness combined with an exclusive appearance. Recommended for all sport bikes.

MultiPod “Short” (73 mm/~2.9”)A small half size aluminium body MultiPod. Suitable for con-fined spaces and wherever size is an issue.

Limitless adjustability:

The principle is simple. No matter where it’s mounted, the multifunctional adjustability always allows the best position for a device to be found.

• Either ball joint can be adjusted independently of the other.• Both ball joints turn 360° and pivot 180° from any point.• Fine adjustments are possible throughout the range.• For further mounting possibilities, a stainless steel extension is optionally

available.

Vibration-Free: Soft Silent Block mounts effectively filter out vibrations, protecting even delicate devices from shock.

Robust:Speeds of over 200 km/h (~125 MPH) and/or washboard roads are not a problem. The system underwent over 60,000 km of hard testing in extreme conditions.

Easy installation:The ball joint heads are hollow and accept 6 mm or 8 mm Allen bolts. Simply remove one ball joint and attach the MultiPod to the position of your choice. Then the holder body can be re-attached.

Quality construction: Aluminium parts machined of the highest quality aluminium and hard ano-dised for a tough finish. Carbon parts with a clear high gloss coating. Tech-nically as well as optically impressive.

Flat Carrier PlateThis strong aluminium plate is required for a professional at-tachment of the Wunderlich MediaBag to any MultiPod. In ad-dition it has two holes to attach a camera/camcorder to it us-ing a special bolt (included with plate). The plate is purpose made for the MultiPod but will fit other mounting systems.

Longer BoltsIn some cases you will need longer bolts to mount your MultiPod to the bike. For instance, when mounting a “Long” type MultiPod with a lower ball joint directly to the handle bar clamps, you would need a 20 mm longer bolt than the original one. If you are using any additional spacers, you will need to add the length of the spacer to the length of the bolt as well. The bolts are good quality galvanized “Allen” bolts, the part numbers for a required length can be determined us-ing the part number key explained below:

Note: When measuring bolts, only measure the length of thread and shaft without the bolt head. M8x40 means diameter of bolt is 8 mm, length 40 mm.

“Extreme” Bracket for TomTom RIDERThis additional clamping device will ensure the “TomTom RIDER” does not suffer disconnection, even when riding on very rough roads. Initially developed for our extreme off-road activities, this part is fast becoming a must-have item for TomTom RIDER owners. The original universal bracket supplied by TomTom is sufficient for normal use, however for sport or holiday use we strongly recommend the use of the MultiPod “Extreme” with its super strong anti-tamper clamps. Sold complete with anti-tampering bolt (special key supplied). Note: For the TomTom II there were no pictures available at the time of printing, as part is still in development. MediaBagThe first water (not for submersion) and dust-proof utility pouch for just about any electronic device such as GPS navigation systems, pocket PC (PDA), iPod, etc. A thought-out and bril-liantly designed concept that offers optimal protection for your electronic device and simultaneously allows unrestricted use of touch screens and controls etc.

MediaBag

Always in sight:Using the two attachment tabs the soft, clear window of the MediaBag is stretched tightly over the face of your electrical device and held in position with Velcro on the back side (or fixed to a MultiPod). This acts as a second skin for your device guaranteeing optimal clarity and excellent access to the touch screen and/or buttons. Because of the thin yet robust materials the device can remain inside the bag during phone calls or for voice-oper-ated commands etc. Voice and sounds emitted are clearly audible with most devices. Alternatively power and audio cables can easily be routed to/from the device.

Security:The MediaBag is constructed of abrasion resistant Teflon-coated Cordura fabric. The see-through skin is made of highly flexible and UV resistant clear PVC-glass. When fitted to a MultiPod or similar mount the foam plates provide optimal protection from vibration. Manufacturing of this bag is en-trusted to the well known German company Ortlieb, experts in waterproof bags of all sizes.

Extreme Testing:The MediaBag has proven itself time and time again in over 60,000 km of hard testing throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and the Orient. Even in the toughest off-road conditions, no technical problems of any kind have sur-faced nor has any device suffered any damage while in the MediaBag. Even at speeds of over 200 km/h (125 MPH), when used in conjunction with the specially designed MultiPod, it will remain stable and secure. Guaranteed.

MediaBag InsertFinally everything is kept organised and tidy! This memory card wallet has been developed out of necessity as we found out from our own touring experience. Now all different types and sizes of memory cards can be quickly and safely stored and carried. Contains 7 compartments with 4 different sizes. It fits perfectly into the MediaBag and is placed under your device (instead of one of the foam plates for instance). These mirrors are high quality CNC machined and anodised aluminium mirrors. Vibration is greatly reduced, as is the “blind spot” in traffic, due to the aspherical (2 planes) mirror surface that widens your field of vision. There is a choice of several types of mirror bodies (heads), as well as two types of mirror stems, all in various colours. All components are sold separately, so you can mix and match colours to give your bike a personal touch.

Which mirror stem fits best?A mirror fitted with an 100 mm stem (R 1200 GS = 125 mm) is more or less equivalent to the original mirror length. The stem is slightly shorter, but the mirror is wider and you get a better rear view field. Whoever suffered with reduced rear view (wide shoulders, narrow handlebars) with the original mir-rors should opt for the 125 or even 150 mm stem (1200 GS = 150 mm).

Mirror Stems “Master Flash” LEDThe Master Flash has an LED indicator (turn signal) integrat-ed into the mirror stem. The Kellermann-made LED emmits a strong light and has a long life expectancy. These are ingenious mirrors with several adjustment possibili-ties. If needed, they can be folded completely out of the way. This solves several problems such as moving in traffic or when parking, also when off-road riding (not in the way when rid-ing standing up) and in case of a fall the mirrors are better protected. In addition, the 75 mm (~3”) length adjustment range of the “Flash” mirror ensures the rider can always see what’s coming from behind. In case of a fall when the mirrors are in the regular position the angle adjustment joint and the built-in “clutch” allow the mirror to fold and rotate, this usu-ally prevents damage to the mirror and attachment points. The aspherical (2 planes) mirror surface widens the field of vi-sion and reduces the “blind spot”, a problem associated with the original mirrors. The special mirror glass incorporates a light blue anti-glare layer that reduces sun and light reflec-tions to a minimum. In contrast to most pure off-road mirrors, these are “E” approved and suitable for road use (Europe).

These little details prove the true love to our BMW. The “Allen” bolt heads on the bike usually will look scruffy after some time. They also fill up with dirt, and are not easy to clean. The plastic caps are simply pushed onto the head and cover it up. The bolt looks much better now and is also protected. Made of plastic with a high gloss chrome-like surface. Tank and Paint Protection “Venture Shield”

A flexible and indestructible plastic protection foil that was originally designed to protect propeller and rotor blades from stone damage. Speed-of-sound aircraft application to protect your BMW! This almost invisible foil protects the paint from stones, sand, bugs and any other flying objects that may cause scuffs, scratches or abrasive marks as well as accidental marks from tools, keys and other day to day objects that might come close to the bike. As any damage to the paint is detri-mental to the resale value of a bike it is important to keep it in a good as possible condition, so the investment is worth considering. The foil absorbs most of the impact energy, it makes sense to fit the head light foil as well. It is UV resistant, but lets UV rays shine through so that there are no differences in the colour of the paint between protected and non protected areas of the bike. Each piece is custom made and cut to an exact shape for a perfect fit. The foil clings very well, but can be removed quite easily. Bike can be cleaned as before (even steam cleaned). Heated Seat Pad

Heated seats are common in many luxury cars and bikes such as the K-LT. As the well-being and comfort of the rider has a direct effect on alertness and safety we have developed an add-on pad that can be fitted easily on any BMW bike. The pad features:

Multi-purpose LED Light

This really practical helper will be much appreciated when out on a trip. Emergency lighting, reading maps at night or as a tent light, there are no ends to its usage. Signal Minder

It is easy to forget the indicators flashing with a BMW. The Signal Minder solves this problem by automatically turning the indicators off after 15, 60 or 45 seconds (this can be set according to riders preference). AutoSwitch

The AutoSwitch uses the auxiliary lights relay for operation via the turn signal cancel button. Simply press the turn signal cancel button for a second or more and release to activate your additional lights. Repeat the process to turn the lights off. This allows you to keep your hands on the grips where they belong. The AutoSwitch can be concealed under the seat or a body panel. It will not interfere with the normal function of the turn signal cancel circuit.

“Silver Vision” Bulb The “Silver Vision” bulb looks silver when “off”, but shines in red/orange when activated. The nicest looking option for clear lenses. Life Insurance

The excellent additional lights makes night riding a joy, more than once they made sure we were seen just in time. In countries where bikes are not that common this is especially important.

Additional Lights

Additional lights are gathering more and more fans, the main reason is safety- “See and be seen”. Properly mounted and adjusted (to avoid blinding oncoming traffic…) they will greatly enhance night vision in every weather condition compared to the sometimes poor original lights. They are best worked in conjunc-tion with the “low” beam (not legal in every country, please check!!). The Micro-Flooter has a compact square shaped black metal body. Our tests showed that it‘s high tech projector technique produces a powerful light despite the smaller than most size. It produces a soft-light transition at the edge of the light beam, and illuminates the road sides almost like a cornering light (helps to avoid wildlife jumping out of bushes at night).

Magnetic Sump Plug

The strong magnet fitted to the sump plug traps those knife-sharp, abrasive small ferrous particles and therefore reduces the overall wear of the engine. Filter Plus

This powerful magnet sticks to any steel spin-on oil filter. All the ferrous microscopic particles that the oil filter element cannot hold will stick to the inside of the filter. These knife-like particles, if not removed from the oil circulation, will slowly rip up the paper element of your filter, and will cause engine wear. When changing oil filters, the metal stays inside the filter, and the Filter Plus can be fitted to the new filter.

Carbtune Synconiser

A smooth running Boxer engine is music to the ears. A syn-chronised motor has nicer tick-over, better throttle response and lower fuel consumption. The Carbtune II uses 2 polished pistons (no Mercury used) that move up or down to show the difference between the two cylinders. The two vacuum hoses are connected to the underside of the throttle bodies when measuring. Comes with a quality soft cover and all adapters needed.

This mover is a useful tool when manoeuvring a heavy bike in tight spaces (garage back wall etc.). The wide plate leaves plenty of space for the centre stand.

Brake Lever Holder

Many service operations or repairs require the bike to stand on the centre stand, or even on the side stand. The potential for disaster, if the bike falls off the stand, is great, one wrong move is all that’s needed. The brake holder makes sure that the front wheel stays put and prevents the bike from moving forwards. Wheel Mounting Tool

If you have ever tried to install your rear wheel, you know what a pain in the you-know-where it can be to support the wheel while getting that first bolt started. Installing the wheel is a snap with this clever little helper: Simply screw the tool into one of the threaded holes in the final drive and slip the wheel on. The tool supports the wheel while you start fitting the remaining bolts. Then just remove the tool with the use of an Allen key. This tool belongs in every rider‘s tool kit or tool box, or both. Pocket Tire Plugger

For tubeless tyres. The “Stop & Go” Tire Plugger allows for easy and effective “on the spot - on the wheel” repair without the need for vulcanising paste (glue). The specially formed mushroom formed rubber plugs are quickly inserted into the tyre with use of the special tools (supplied). When the tyre is pumped up afterwards, the air pressure pushes the mushroom head against the inner side of the tyre and seals it off com-pletely. The set consists of 15 rubber inserts and fitting tools as well as instructions, all fitted inside a small Nylon bag (18 x 10 cm, ~ 350 g weight).

Digital Pressure Gauge with Clip

This pressuge gauge has features that make it stand out from the rest. The built in clip allows this little helper to be at-tached anywhere. The select button allows you to choose any one of the following measuring units to show up on the digital display: BAR, PSI, KPA and kg/CM. Snow Chains

These chains ensure grip even in extreme conditions. The chains have been tested by us in severe winter conditions in Austria, Serbia and all the way to Syria. Even when cars were stranded in the snow we continued riding. The chains are quickly fitted to the wheels of the Enduro bikes and are recommended to be used for speeds up to 50 kmh/~30 mph (we tried it up to 80 km/h). Throttle Rocker

This genial little helper is a must for all riders. It quickly mounts onto any twist grip, and reduces the load on the hand. It is easy to fit and remove (when not needed) and virtually indestructible. On long trips the throttle hand fingers can get tired, the Throttle Rocker prevents this as now most of the pressure is passed on to the hand itself. It is not only useful for motorway use, sometimes the constant change of speed on twisty lanes can be tiring as well. Motosafe II Ear Plugs

In our opinion the best ear plug available. Each plug is made of soft silicon with small “fins”, and on the outer side the re-movable noise filters can be inserted. Multimedia Bag “Navigate”

Navigation systems are getting more and more popular, and especially systems based on Pocket PC’s. We have tested this ourselves and came to the conclusion that these are indeed superior to built in systems. Therefore we have developed the “Navigate” bag to allow use of such a system on a motorcycle. The features of this bag are:One large compartment for equipment such as Pocket PC, GPS add-on, cables and mobile phone etc. After placing the appli-ances inside the compartments the bag is pumped up so that the contents are pressed against the clear top. This stops the PC moving around and allows better viewing of the screens as well as the use of touch screens. The bag has a plug that fits a BMW socket, and inside the bag is a (cigar lighter) socket so appliances can be operated directly from the 12 volt system or charged. The bag is made of water resistant material and includes a carrier strap.

Strapping Loops

This useful bracket can be bolted with bolts up to 6 mm, and provides a solid anchor point for strapping luggage to the bike. Made of black anodised aluminium.Sold as a single part.

Strap Set

“Velcro”-type hook and loop straps are well known for their versatile usage. We use them to secure tank bags to tanks, toolrolls in topcases etc. This set includes 1 metre (~39”) each of hook and loop straps. Both sides are self adhesive.

Luggage Loops

The loops give you the option to strap more luggage to side/top cases. They are made of galvanised steel, and the holes can be sealed to prevent water and dirt entering with match-ing seals. We recommend using our luggage straps.

Tie Down Strap

This strap is nicely made of strong woven nylon and has a spring loaded buckle, which holds tightly and requires very little effort to release. Unlike Bungee-type straps, this one does not stretch. The strap is 20 mm (~0.8”) wide and meas-ures approximately 150 or 200 cm (~ 59 or 78”) in length. Perfect for attaching camping gear or any other items.

Hünsdorf 2 Litre Jerrycan

Tough burst-proof 2 litre canister. The distance a bike will do on 2 litres is about 25-30 km (15-19 mi), and could get you to the next petrol station in case you run out of fuel. Suitable for all automotive fuels. Easily strapped to luggage or bike with built in loop (see our luggage loops for picture). Includes fill-ing nozzle and safety valve.

Heat Resistant Mat

In some unfavourable conditions the cases can suffer severe heat damage (especially 1150 GS + R). This does not only affect original cases, but also aftermarket ones. The reason for that is that the heat from the exhaust and engine is ac-cumulated in one specific area. The air stream at the back won’t clear the hot air, especially when riding two-up. The 150 x 180 mm (~5.6 x 7”) large heat resistant mat will protect any type of case. The back is pre coated with a self adhesive layer for an easy attachment. Made of glass fibre in a special process (100% asbestos and ceramic fibre free!), and is heat resistant to direct heat up to 180°C (365 F).

“Highway” Bag

This is a very versatile motorcycle bag. It has a massive 48 litres of volume, and the various strapping options make it really easy to secure to any luggage rack of any bike in double quick time. A set of wide padded carrying straps is included so it equally easy to handle the bag when not on the bike. The bag is designed to hold two full size helmets, and the gloves and other items can be stored in the separate side compartments. Made of PU coated Nylon material. To avoid water penetrating through the zipper, it is covered and pro-tected by an additional flap. Biker Rucksack

A practical daily companion. Unlike many other bags, this one has a long zipper for the main compartment, which makes it easy to get stuff in and out of the bag, especially bulky objects. Inside the main bag is a padded compartment, a conveniently positioned cable exit make this an ideal place for your MP3 player or ipod. The additional external compart-ment has its own zipper and can be accessed without opening the main bag. The thermally insulated main bag is roughly 38 x 9 x 25 cm (~15 x 3.5 x 9.8”) large, and will allow you to store a good quantity of food.
