Kingspan Insulated Panels is the largest division of the Kingspan Group, and within our core area of business, we have established an enviable position as a global leader in the design and manufacture of high quality FIREsafe insulated roof and wall systems for the construction industry.

Through-wall solutions, structural products, controlled environments and fall protection systems are also part of our extensive product portfolio.

Running alongside our range of insulated panel systems, we have selected a range of accessories that compliment our controlled environment insulated wall and ceiling panel systems, providing performance and longevity.

Kingspan have on-site, one of the largest capacity industrial powder coating plants in the industry comprising of two dedicated lines for steel and aluminium. Both lines use modern efficient powder coating methods to gain vastly improved economies of scale and a faster throughput by maximising the use of full automation.

This state of the art powder coating facility is Qualicoat approved, ensuring that we can provide an unrivalled and complete service to our clients. Kingspan is also an approved applicator of Valspar (Syntha Pulvin), and Akzo Nobel powder coatings, and audits by these companies are carried out every year to ensure compliance with the required standards.

Our extensive investment has ensured that we do not use the traditional chromate method of etching, therefore complying with Safety and Environmental legislation only due for implementation in 2014.

A full range of RAL and BS colours are available in matt, metallic, gloss and satin finishes.

In addition to the powder coating lines, Kingspan have an automated line with the capability for:

– Full CNC turret punching– Smooth curving– Aluminium fabrication– Plasma cutting– MIG and TIG welding– Guillotining up to 6.0mm thick

steel and up to 4.0m in length– Brake press-sections up to

8.0m in length

Environments



Flashings are classified as non-structural elements and are used as a component part of the vapour control layer and to close the junctions or openings as required by the Insurance Industry. They also provide a final aesthetic appearance.

Kingspan supply a wide range of standard flashings. Flat sheets are also available plus non-standard designs on a project specific basis.

All flashings are supplied complete with closed welted safety edges as standard unless stated otherwise.

Trim sections (pressed steel) are classified as structural elements and are used to provide support at perimeter junctions between walls to walls, walls to ceilings, and walls to floors. They also provide a final aesthetic appearance.

Specialist contractor Insulated Construction was tasked with creating the temperature-controlled food safe environments and partitions inside the building, including chilled storage and food processing rooms.

Insulated Construction used 3,600m2 of Kingspan UltraTemp insulated wall and ceiling panels, with the QuadCore® insulation core, to meet the specification set out by main contractor Food Projects Ltd.

R&G Fresh Herbs decided to move premises after 45 years to meet increased demand, requiring a brand new warehouse facility for the processing and packaging of fresh produce. The building had to meet the highest standards for energy efficiency and carbon emissions; not least because the company is committed to reducing its carbon footprint by 25%.

SafeDefence Barrier Protection Systems

SafeDefence Barrier Protection Systems consist of high-performance, high-density polyethylene around a metal support, tested and certified to provide protection to people and structures from the impact of machinery.

The range includes:– KPSPost for the protection of walls, doors and corners;– KPSTrim impact resistant plinth for protection at the base of

building corners, columns and walls;– KPSRail for the protection of people in areas of forklift and

other mobile machinery;– KPSBarrier-S, KPSBarrier-D and KPSBarrier-H to protect walls,

columns and other objects at varying heights.

Testing The University of Engineering and Architecture of Zaragoza, Spain, undertook a crash test with our Barrier Protection Systems to analyse the energy supported by our products and their impact resistance behaviour. Test results indicate that our Barrier Protection Systems products offer better impact protection than all others on the market due to their resistance and elasticity.

Overview

MaterialsBarrier Protection products are manufactured from solid* high-density polyethylene designed to bend at the metal rod section with a force of over 10Tm, preventing floor and barrier breakage. Their simple construction and installation means they can be repaired or replaced immediately with minimum cost.

All products are located and installed independent of the elements to be protected, removing the risk of damage from impact transmission.

Hygienic and easy clean, low maintenance and carrying food-quality certification, these high-density polyethylene protective barrier systems are especially suitable for the agri-food industry.

Our KPSPosts provide a high-performance solution for the protection of building corners, inner and outer door areas and walls, as well as smaller surface areas.

KPSPosts are manufactured from solid polyethylene to provide maximum impact resistance and, as they are self-coloured as opposed to painted, they offer superior resistance to UV rays.
