• Access to Information is a crucial element in all efforts to reduce corruption and enhance transparency and accountability It establishes trust between citizens and governments.
• Access to Information entails openness in conducting public affairs and pro-activity in the publication and provision of key information to the public.
• Access to Information is a basic human right.
A2I Legislation for Lebanon: An overview
• Draft law introduced to Lebanese Parliament on April 9, 2009.
• Draft law will set rules and procedures for the right to access to information.
