ACCESS CONTROL ExpansE - Distributed Access Control

Highlights:

High Capacity, Fast and Powerful

Distributed Architecture

- The more doors installed – the lower the price per door- Highly scalable – expandable to facilitate extremely large applications- Extended reliability

Web Browser-Based System Management

ACCESS CONTROLInnovative Approach to Access Control

Traditional, centralized systems, due to unnecessary redundancy, expensive costs and limited capacity, can not provide solution to large scale access control systems (commercial, industrial and government facilities such as airports, hospitals, office buildings, and more..)

ExpansE is a new and innovative distributed access control system, designed to provide a suitable security solution at a competitive price.

ACCESS CONTROL Central Vs. Distributed System Architecture

Central Architecture Use multiple controllers require synchronization –

- Limited performance and system capacity- Complicates integration with 3rd party systems

Hardware is duplicated many times to cover large applications

- Complicated and costly installation, configuration, networking and cabling

Distributed Architecture The main controller is connected to the doors via

communications only, and is physically separated from the secondary units that manage the door elements

- Substantially reducing cabling work and simplifying the installation process- Allows systems to expand from a single door to thousands of doors in multiple sites, without unnecessary redundancy- Easily integrated with external systems such as DVRs, Intrusion Alarms, and others.

ACCESS CONTROL High Capacity, Economical, Scalable

Each one of the ExpansE’s secondary units (e.g., a door, I/O or elevator) is geographically separated from the main panel, and can control up to 64 readers with additional expansion. The system’s high capacity and scalable design is evident in its pricing scheme – the more doors installed, the lower the price-per-door. Once eight or more doors are installed, the overall price-per-door becomes lower than that of a traditional system, and is reduced by tens of percents for every additional door.

ACCESS CONTROL Web Browser-based User Interface

ExpansE’s built-in Web-browser and networking capabilities provide faster and easier setup – software installation and computer configuration are not required. You control all system configuration options and additional services, including real-time monitoring, from any panel and computer on the network.

ACCESS CONTROL Quick To Install, Easy To Use

Easy to Design

Flexible architecture, configurations, and variety of control options, along with an intelligent, easy-to-configure decision-making engine, make it simple to plan a wide range of deployment options.

Easy to Implement

Pre-networked and pre-powered multiple-tray cabinets

Standalone, networked, powered and backed-up enclosed secondary units

A selection of powering and back-up solutions, including Power-over-Ethernet (PoE)

Easy to Install

All of ExpansE’s system components are "plug and play" using communication options such as Ethernet and RS-485, with a minimum of cabling. Neither software installation nor computer configuration are required. System configuration is straightforward and can be configured in a short time, and without specialized training.

Easy to Operate

ExpansE's friendly Web interface facilitates management of Access Control, Video, and Alarm Monitoring from any panel or Web browser, and does not require highly skilled operators. Additionally, the system's full client-server architecture allows multiple-client usage at different user levels.
