This annual Fair provides students with an excellent opportunity to explore a multitude of healthcare roles and opportunities, and importantly to meet potential employers face to face. A wide range of organisations are represented from the NHS, the independent sector and the Armed Forces to recruitment agencies, voluntary and charitable organisations, both from the UK and abroad.

For exhibitors it is a timely point in the calendar to engage with our high calibre final year students who are studying on one of a number of Health Sciences programmes (nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry and healthcare science), audiology or psychology. The majority of the students here today will be looking for their first post as a newly qualified practitioner.

Taking this next step is both an exciting and daunting prospect and there are difficult individual choices to be made.

The Fair also offers Year 1 and 2 students a chance to gain early careers advice and establish contacts well in advance of completion. A knowledge and understanding about both qualified and unqualified employment opportunities will positively contribute to their decision making and enable them to build up and enhance their CVs in readiness for applications.
