Hong Kong as an open economy has recently faced much happenings under the uncertain and unstable global economy, including China-US trade tension, Brexit, and tightened financial conditions across advanced economies. Apart from these,

Hong Kong businesses have also encountered new tax and regulatory changes, such as the new economic substance legislation for all companies and limited partnerships which are registered, and tax resident in the British Virgin Islands (BVI), the newly implemented transfer pricing law and the automatic exchange of information requirements. In the face of slowing economy and the political headwinds, ACCA Hong Kong’s annual tax conference shall bring together government officials, industry experts, professionals and academia to exchange views and ideas about what Hong Kong businesses should take note of under this macro environment, and what businesses should do in order to sail through the risks and challenges brought by these changes and developments.
