amilton Jewelers, a purveyor of
fine jewelry and the most exquisite
collections around the globe, be-
fittingly chose the classic fashion district of
Palm Beach to host a one-time exhibition of
rare and unique diamonds. In celebration of
100 years in the market, Hamilton has assem-
bled the collection of over 50 timeless jewels
from their inventory as well as from important
collections from around the world. Many of the
mines producing these rarities are at or near
the end of their production, so the opportunity
to see such pieces are becoming fewer.
Following the only U.S. show in Palm Beach, the
collection will be shown in Switzerland, Hong
Kong, Shanghai, and Dubai.
The exhibit will feature diamonds of nearly eve-
ry color... orange, pink, blue, green, yellow,
champagne, peach, cognac, teal, etc., in sizes
from under 1 ct to 100 cts. Most of the dia-
monds will be set in jewels, while some will re-
main loose.

Emilio Pucci Creative Director, Peter Dundas envisions “graceful sensuality.” Dundas deviates from the signature electric pattern and utilizes inspirations from the opulent
Indochina and the ease of sum-mer to create a look that is light and elegant. The new collection features sheer tunics, layered over diaphanous chiffon trousers, sleeveless tops and silk crepe dresses.

It was nearly 10 years ago in New York when Elizabeth Thompson hosted an
exhibition launch of paintings depicting landscapes of Botswana, that she de-
cided her next art-driven adventure would be the wilderness known as the
Everglades. She moved there as Artist in Residence in 2006, and was pro-
foundly moved by her experience which included confrontations with
many scary things-alligators, snakes, and was warned
about scorpions and panthers.
Thompson’s work has been exhibited at numerous
national and international institutions including the Norton Museum of Art, McKay Art Museum, and the Museum of Modern
Art, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Ever since 1976, when she won a competition to paint a series of oil tanks on the Hudson River,
Thompson has painted mural commissions in Zimbabwe and Mexico City among many others. In the early to mid -1980s, she was
an artist in residence at MoMA PS1, Long Island City, NY, as well as the Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris. Thompson is currently
represented by the Leila Heller Gallery in New York City.
Elizabeth works from her studios in Ocean Ridge (FL), SoHo (NY), and Paris.
It looks like the Everglades are overtaking my house, which I love. -Elizabeth Thompson
Since 1976, Thompson has been a
resident of Ocean Ridge, Florida in
the historic home which once be-
longed to Major Boynton, namesake
of Boynton Beach. She added a
painting studio in 2006.
About 10 years ago I exhibited paintings in a New York Gallery . At the opening, many remarked that the landscapes looked like the Everglades. I live close to this wilderness
