Please join the Academy for Global Citizenship’s learning community to celebrate our model student health and nutrition initiatives through our receipt of the HealthierUS School Challenge Gold with Distinction Award Who: The First Lady & 200 energized students. What: School lunch followed by a student-led tour, highlighting our organic schoolyard garden, urban chickens and yoga in the classroom. When: September, October or November {as the First Lady’s schedule permits} Where: 4647 West 47 th Street, Chicago Why: To share the message of positive child nutrition with our local and national communities. Menu: Seared salmon or baked tempeh, sweet potato quinoa, sautéed swiss chard, rosemary roasted cannellini beans and local pears.
