FOREWORD
All praised is due to Allah S.W.T., the most gracious and most merciful. Peace and blessing be upon Prophet Muhammad S.A.W., his family and his companions.
Civil engineers are the brains behind all the largest and most essential infrastructures around the world. Pursue Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) Civil (Infrastructure) at Faculty of Civil Engineering (FCE) UiTM Pulau Pinang will open great opportunity to discover the diversity and well-rewarded career as civil engineers that design, construct and manage the entire process of construction. In FCE, we strive for a balance and sustainable academic excellence through outcome based education (OBE) with full commitment from Academic staff and management team. Moreover, the transformation programme initiated by Vice Chancellor Professor Emeritus Dato’ Dr. Hassan Said will put UiTM as the forefront university in Malaysia and the world.
The Academic Advisory Unit (AAU) lead by the Head of Civil Engineering Centre of Studies UiTM Pulau Pinang is established to empower the academic monitoring and mentoring system at faculty level. The proposed Academic Advisory Record (AAR) is to gather all relevant information from student’s background to academic performance. AAR aims to ensure continuous monitoring and improvement of academic excellence. Hence, I would like to express my gratitude to the team of AAU team for their countless efforts and commitment in establishing this booklet. Finally, congratulations to all FCE students and enjoy your journey of becoming civil engineers.
Thank you.
