When should YOU begin to Study?
Maintenance
Two categories
Preparation
Maintenance Studying: is the reviewing and reading you complete after each class to learn new material. (allows you to keep up with info from class to class) ex: reviewing your notes within 24 hours of taking them.
Preparation Studying: is targeted study that prepares you for a specific task. (such as a test, midterm, quiz, final, project, or oral exam)
To study efficiently: you must eliminate distractions, go to a quiet place and turn off all electronics. Join a study group, get tutoring, or go to office hours.
