TheCoolCoveriscurrentlyproducedinthreesizes(40inch,48inchand60inch);however,specificdimensionsanddesignparametersmayvarydependingonspecifichomeownerneeds.Regardlessofsize,theCoolCoveriscomprisedgenerallyofthefollowingbasiccomponents,invariouscolorsandsizes:

• U-Shapedslats(ideally,adjustable)orlouvers

• Postswithcaps

• Railings

• Connectors

TheCoolCoverslatsmaybeconstructedofvariouslightweightmaterials,suchasmetal,plastic,fiberglass,siding,vinyl,orothers.Theslatsandpostsmaybeattachedtooneanotherwithvariousmethods,butideallyitwillbedesignedwithgroovesandslots,allowingittobeconstructedwithouttheneedfortools.Regardlessofitsconfiguration,theslatswillbearrangedinawaythatallowsforproperventilation,whilemaintainingtheintegrityofthestructure.

ItisimportanttonotethatvariousmodificationsmaybemadewithoutcompromisingtheintegrityoftheCoolCoverpatent.Forexample:

• ThestyleoftheslatsmaybealteredtoreflectthedesignofthehomeatwhichtheCoolCoverisgoingtobeused.

• Louversattachedtotheframemaybedesignedtoswivelsothatburstsofexhaustedairfromtheairconditionerunitswivelthelouverstoanopenpositionforproperventilation.
