Brief Introduc9on
T8-‐Storm is an Exo-‐Skeletal 2-‐seater light weight performance vehicle inspired by “Ariel Atom” a high performance sport car, built to perform on race track as well as normal roads. The cockpit, engine block and aluminium crash box for safety are integrated into single frame welded together to form the chassis.
LWPC is having fully independent double wishbone suspension with pushrod mechanism along with anI-‐roll bars. MS Hollow pipe delivers strength to safety cage ensuring protecIon of driver and co-‐driver. This car has a lesser aerodynamic body than a normal car but its light weight helps to achieve higher acceleraIon rate.
!Project as a Product
Taking into consideraIon the increasing inclinaIon of youth towards speed enthusiasm, this project is concerned with building high power-‐to-‐weight raIo vehicles with Indian Road Safety Standards.
Time Dura9on:
Approx. Working Hours: 400-‐500 hrs
(4-‐5hrs per day for 4 months)
Project Cost:
This project is built in Poornima Group of InsItuIons, Mechanical Workshop, which provided the tooling and machining faciliIes. A major part of Raw Materials was provided from InsItute property that concludes that actual cost of project.
Actual Cost: 80,000 (Excluding cost of tooling and machinery and raw material)
!As a finished market product, total cost is calculated approximately as:
