ABSTRACT Desma Yulia, 1104090. 2012. Pengaruh Penggunaan Media Interaktif dan Motivasi Hasil Belajar Sejarah Siswa SMA Negeri 1 Gunung Talang. Tesis Program Pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Padang Problems raised in this research were: Learning process was dominated by teacher (teacher centered), for example teacher talked more without using another approach, the learning process was without using effective media, and students’ learning motivation were low during the learning process. The purposes of this research were to determine: (1) the differences in students’ ability taught by using interactive media with students taught by using non-interactive media toward the learning outcomes of studying history, (2) the differences in students’ learning outcomes with high motivation taught by using interactive media and non- interactive media, (3) the differences in students’ learning outcomes with low motivation taught by using interactive media and non-interactive media (4) the interaction between media of learning with students’ motivation in studying history on the main subject of The Development of Kingdoms Nations of Islam in Indonesia of students SMA Negeri 1 Gunung Talang. The method conducted in this research was quasi-experimental method. The populations in this research were all students of class XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Gunung Talang. The samples were taken by using random group model, and class XI IPS III was chosen as experimental group and class XI IPS I as the control group. Techniques of Data Collection used were test method for variable learning outcomes of studying history and motivation questionnaire for acquiring the level of students’ learning motivation. Technique of Data Analysis was two-way anova. The research results showed the average of students’ learning outcomes of experimental group was 146,39 and control group was 129,59. Based on the statistics test, it can be acquired; (1) There was significant effect between students’ learning outcomes in studying history taught by interactive media and non-interactive media (F count > F table or 56,707 > 3,44) ; (2) There were differences in students’ history learning outcomes who had high learning motivation taught by using interactive media compared to non-interactive media (F count > F table or 14,427 > 3,30); (3) There were differences in history learning outcomes for students who had low learning motivation taught by using interactive media were better than the learning outcomes of students who had low learning motivation taught by using non-interactive media (F count > F table or 11,994 > 3,32); (4) There is no interactions between interactive media and students’ learning motivation in studying history (F count > F table or 14,570 > 3,44). Based on the findings above, it can be concluded that the use of interactive media can enhance students’ learning outcomes in studying history so that the learning objectives can finally be achieved. Moreover, teacher should be able to choose the media which suit the learning material and learning objectives and also optimize students’ learning motivation.

Masalah yang penulis angkat dalam penelitian ini adalah: Pendekatan pembelajaran masih terlalu di dominasi guru (teacher centered), seperti guru lebih banyak menggunakan pendekatan ceramah tanpa diiringi pendekatan lain, pembelajaran yang dilakukan tidak menggunakan media yang efektif dan rendahnya motivasi siswa di dalam kegiatan pembelajaran.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) Perbedaan kemampuan siswa yang diajar menggunakan media interaktif dengan siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran tanpa media interaktif terhadap hasil belajar sejarah; (2) perbedaan hasil belajar siswa dengan motivasi tinggi yang diajar dengan menggunakan media interaktif dan media transparansi; (3) perbedaan hasil belajar siswa dengan motivasi rendah yang diajar dengan menggunakan media interaktif dan media transparansi; (4) Interaksi antara media pembelajaran dengan motivasi belajar sejarah siswa pada materi pokok Perkembangan Negara Kerajaan-Kerajaan Islam di Indonesia siswa SMA Negeri I Gunung Talang

Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode quasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa IPS kelas XI SMA Negeri I Gunung Talang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan model random kelompok, dan didapatkan kelas XI IPS III sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPS 1 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes untuk variabel hasil belajar sejarah dan angket motivasi untuk mengetahui tingkat motivasi belajar siswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan anova dua arah.

Hasil penelitian, ditemukan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen 80,79 dan kelas kontrol 76,84, untuk nilai rata-rata motivasi siswa kelas eksperimen 146,39 dan kelas kontrol 129,59. Berdasarkan uji statistik didapatkan; (1) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara hasil belajar sejarah siswa yang diajar menggunakan media interaktif dengan siswa yang diajar tanpa menggunakan media noninteraktif (Fhitung > Ftabel , atau 56,707>3,44) ; (2) Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar sejarah siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar tinggi yang diajar dengan media interaktif dibandingkan media noninteraktif (Fhitung>Ftabel atau 14,427 > 3,30); (3) Terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang memiliki motivasi rendah yang diajar dengan media interaktif lebih baik dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar yang memiliki motivasi belajar rendah yang diajar dengan media noninteraktif (Fhitung > Ftabel atau 11,994 > 3,32); (4) Tidak terdapat interaksi antara media interaktif dan motivasi belajar sejarah siswa (Fhitung > Ftabel atau 14,570>3,44) dan sinifikan > 0,05 (0,359 > 0,05).

Berdasarkan hasil analisis data di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan media interaktif efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran Sejarah.
