Test Reports

 

Trial test of Abratough abrasive carried out at L&T MFY Paint shop using aircompressor, Blast pot and accessories.

  During blast cleaning, we found very less flying dust and the blaster visibility is

good.

  Abra Tough abrasive can be re used 2/3 times with adding 20% new abrasive.

  We achieved Sa 3 blast cleaning with 74 micron anchor profile, dust level 2, Salt

level 1.7 mg/cm2 which is very good results and acceptable range as per ourclients specification like ONGC, ADMA-OPCO and PTTEP Ltd, Thailand.

  Productivity of blast cleaning with AbraTough abrasive is good as achieved 8-10

sqm/Hrs for Sa 3 Blasting.

  The test witnessed by Painting dept, Paint Manufacturers, ADMA OPCO, PTTEP

and ONGC Site representative during the process and the measured results.

Conclusion

AbraTough – Euroblast abrasive can be used for manual blast cleaning at yard for various

projects as it is meeting all the technical requirement as per specification and standards.
