AboutusFrom My Desk...

This was a crazy transition! 2014-2015 started with a BANG! I had a surprise back in November when I learned I was considered one of the 25 most influential Hispanics By The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Metro Orlando-Vision Magazine.

I was surprised, but happy it made me feel like a Million Dollars, but then I thought why? And I realized, the only thing that mattered was to keep walking my journey and humbly accept my lessons, my victories and falls. After all they are all part of a life lesson.

In any way the strongest feeling I have about all this, is that I wish my parents were here to see it.

Then, in January, our Chamber Installation. The idea, and the execution, one joy after the other, and the reali-zation that after so much learned and lived, it seems we are getting somewhere.

Life is full of great surprises! We at About US, hope you will have a great year, and that every lesson learned, willgive you the power and force to conquer another.

From our heart to yours

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Laiz Rodrigues

Algumas vezes me vi duvidando, vi a rotina tomar conta, os compromissos e ai sondei minha alma.

A resposta veio de imedia-to: “Sim, estamos”.

Agora faça a conta: 1964...2014.

I'm no expert on love. I’m a wife, mother, sister, aunt and daughter. Above all, I’m a woman.

I met my husband in Miami, and we fell in love. I believed in love, believed in the saying “…and they lived happily ever after” – to that person I met, I swore faithfulness before my family and friends.

So… time passed. Many things have changed, difficul-ties came, financial responsibilities, house moves, for-eign country, work, unemployment, parenting. What hap-pened? Where did the promises of love, the moments together, the couple's intimacy went? Will love after many years still exist? Sometimes I found myself doubting, rou-tine taking over, commitments ... and there I searched my soul. I found out that yes, I still believe, with all my heart and soul.

According to the US government statistics, 50% of mar-riages end in divorce, but the inconsistencies of life should not separate people, and I want to be part of the oth-er 50%. Nobody is perfect; therefore there is no perfect marriage. The glass can be half empty or half full, but your love story depends on you and your spouse.

Problems do exist and always will, but why not choose to have our focus on marriages that worked and learn their secret? Valentine's Day is coming up and I would like to celebrate the possibility of eternal love telling the story of two very special people.

The story began in 1944, an enchanted town in Southern Minas Gerais, called Campo Belo. The neighbors know each other, exchange recipes, cups of sugar, one enters the house of another without knocking, everyone knows everyone.

He was six years old, she was five. They met at the church where their families attended and there they grew uptogether. Innocent and childish plays were the foundation to a strong friendship as the two found themselves together all the time. Childhood passed, youth arrived, flirting started and their souls became inseparable.

She realized it was not only friendship and one day asked him: "Are we dating?" The answer came immediately: "Yes, we are." But not everything was perfect - her parents did not want the relationship because he was studying in an-other city and would take many years for him to graduate. Very long courtships did not work, with a poor boyfriend, even less chances.

They even got to hear a family member say…"two empty bags don’t stand".But even with the distance and the disapproval of some, they kept the relationship. After 7 years of dating, he met the girl's family, and formally asked for permission to marry her. The future father-in-law, with protective words responded very seriously: “Yes, we agree, but from now on I ask you to only walk arm-in-arm.”They agreed with the condition for the engagement, but now admit, “only followed the rule of the arm-in-arm in front of their father and mother.

Anyway, they got married in 1964 in that city. Now do the math: 1964 ... 2014. That's right, it's been 50 years and they rather live the story of true love, who survived storms and hurricanes, which before the problems of life, chose to follow to walk together. They have learned to see the sun shine in the morning, and like gold have been refined by time, and today shine as an example for future gener-ations.

Golden Anniversary, blessed celebration for a few couples. His name is Luthero and hers is Shirley. Yes, they exist. I owe them who I am, and I thank God for the privilege to call them my Father and my Mother, my biggest example. They taught me what love is, and that with God, nothing is impossible.

Happy Valentine's Day.

Chambinho do Acordeon

Just like a great surprise! Valencia College Department of Arts and Humanities with Professor Richard Sansone, announced the movie “Gonzaga from Father to Son“(De Pie pra Filho) on January 30, but also asked for an Accordion to be used by the star Cham-binho to play a few songs for the audience after the movie.

I couldn’t let that go, I battled myself for a few days, and finally decided to call Maes tro Nilson Dizeu, and ask him where I could get an accordion. Right away he says, I have one! This is your lucky day! Happy that i could get it, I arrived to Valencia and for my surprise there was also another accordion from the Central Florida Accordion Club, but sure enough, he used the one we brought in and we were just moved by such a great Brazilian moment. It was quite the evening! Following the show and movie, Professor Sansone in-vited us for Pizza at Pie-Fection.

Chambinho came to the U.S.A. with his daughter and wife Daniela, we spoke for a little. Born in S. Paulo -Brazil, Chambinho’s family is natural from Piaui, in the North East and migrated to the South to raise their chil-dren. He loves to play the accordion, holds a great talent , that shows his grandfather’s North East roots, since he gave Chambinho the base and teachings that started every-thing. Lessons he never forgot and always mentions it with great pride.

When he heard of the contest to play the part for the movie, it was his wife Dani that insisted he participated. She said, “ I knew that role was destined to him”. Dani is not only his wife, she is his greatest fan, Director, and she left a successful career to follow her husband. She always believed in his success and talent. She is the one responsible for all his contracts, shows and all the structure of his tours around the world and Brazil.

Page 33: Aboutus by hotspotorlando #45

He signed up for the contest, and started his journey with other three thousand contes-tants, among actors, musicians and new tal-ent, that wanted to be part of the movie. Little by little he made to the final three. On the last day, the production told him it would take about 2 months for the final answer, and he waited.

The two months passed by, no news, he went on tour, with his musicians, and kept life as usual, until he was playing in the Northeast of Brazil, and decided to visit Exu, where Luiz Gonzaga was born , raised, and buried. He told his wife would only take a few hours, when in reality would take nine hours! They were exhausted, once they arrived in town they found the place. There is the house, a muse-um, memorabilia, and his grave also.

Daniela said it was late, they were closing, and she asked the guard to at least let Chambinho in, so he could pay respects to his idol Luiz Gonzaga, that he cherished so much. She had to insist. And he finally did! Believe it or not, at that moment, they called to let him know the news. He had the role, and the rest is his-tory.

Chambinho is a humble star, he is a people’s person, but extremely shy, carries a beauti-ful smile, and is confident about the future. I asked him why Chambinho? He said, comes from eating a lot of Danon Yogurt “Chambin-ho” during the contest.

Talking about the future, he is getting ready to perform in Lampeao a trilogy about to start production. For us faraway from Motherland for so long, it was a very special moment, not only because of the music but also because it took me back to my childhood, and very spe-cial days. We should never forget our roots, our past, or where we come from. That is what makes us so unique and special.

After Chambinho gave a presentation at Va-lencia College he also visited the Parks but he also visited Nelson at Boi Brazil Steakhouse ac-companied by his family.

He has now returned to Brazil where his artistic obligations await for him. We hope he comes back soon and wish him great success.

Thank you Chambinho your music is magic.

Its trajectory was changed in 2012 by President Amy Litter today retired, and the new President Laiz Rodrigues and her Board of Directors are continuing the work started since then.

In her speech, the new President spoke of the loyalty to the community, and the obligation to maintain an Organization that is far away from what we see in Brazil today. The Orlando Magic and Chase Honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Through Service Proj-ect and

Recognition of Youth Humanitarian Award Winners

The Orlando Magic and Chase Honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Through Service Project and Recognition of Youth Humanitarian Award Winners.

By Josh Cohen, www.OrlandoMagic.com

Kyle O’Quinn remembers the days growing up in New York when he would search for the perfect outdoor courts to play basketball. It meant a lot to find the “right” court as he admits it helps reinforce a child’s passion to play.By helping unveil a brand new Orlando Magic themed court at a nearby elementary school in Orlando on Sat-urday, O’Quinn got a chance to show kids a thing or two about the game and encourage their partici-pation in the sport.

“You always look for the best court,” O’Quinn said. “Kids gravitate to the better courts and I think it steps up your game a little bit.”

The Magic and Chase teamed up to unveil the newly refurbished court at Palmetto Elementa-ry School as part of the Magic’s efforts to honor Dr. Martin Luther King’s legacy with a service project. The two also surprised the school with $5,000 worth of physical education equipment. It is the fifth community sports facility they have revamped and they hope to renovate more in the future.

“The Magic and Chase Bank have a similar mis-

sion in the community,” said Greg Fahey, senior vice president and retail banking market manager at JP Morgan Chase. “We want to give back and help the community thrive and it’s events like this that do just that.

” In addition to the unveiling of the court, O’Quinn along with Community Ambassadors Nick Anderson and Bo Outlaw hosted a mini basketball clinic. They showed dozens of Palmetto Elementary student basic funda-mentals, including how to shoot, dribble and pass.

The event was in many ways a reward for the students. Grades have soared in the classroom recently and the new court will help bolster that success.

“I’m very proud of our students,” said Angela Mur-phy-Osborne, principal of Palmetto Elementary School. “The Magic and Chase have been so supportive. We are so thrilled to have them here.”

Page 45: Aboutus by hotspotorlando #45

“We push our students hard academically so they need that break to come out and engage in some structured activities,” she added.

As all of the Magic’s players have emphasized through the years, O’Quinn is ecstatic to be a part of the community and help it grow and develop.“The kids are the future and to give them the best opportuni-ties is very important,” O’Quinn said. “To see something new in the community, it brings a light to every aspect of your life.” As Champion of the Commu-nity partners, the Magic and Chase have been working together on community projects that impact and benefit Central Florida. Together they have refurbished five com-munity sports facilities in the area, including Palmetto El-ementary, with a goal of completing 10 total courts. The two are working to support local communities and to cel-ebrate the Magic’s multicultural platforms, including activ-ities during the Magic’s Black History Month celebration presented by Chase.

The Magic’s celebration of Dr. King continued on Sunday, Jan. 18 during the Magic vs. Thunder matchup. The team recognized 59 Youth Humanitarian Award winners as se-lected by the MLK Commission at halftime of the game. In

addition, they provided each of these students and their guests with tickets to a suite in Amway Center to watch the game. The MLK Commission is a volunteer organization, which includes business and community representatives appointed by Mayor Buddy Dyer to raise funds and coor-dinate citywide events that promote the celebration of Dr. King’s legacy of equality, justice, freedom, peace and har-mony for all races and cultures in Greater Orlando.

The Youth Humanitarian Award acknowledges an ex-ceptional student who represents the ideals modeled by Dr. King. Mayor Dyer along with Dyer’s MLK Com-mission and Magic CEO Alex Martins joined the hu-manitarian winners for the on court halftime presentation.

Today in a Press Conference the Orlando City Soc-cer launched the #FilltheBowl Campaign. With 11000 season tickets already sold, it is now time to incentive the community to join the fun and get in gear to enjoy the games.

The Citrus Bowl completely remodeled, will house the season 2015 of the MLS games until the new Soccer Stadium is ready in 2016, but that is just the beginning. For a diverse community, with people who come from every corner in the globe, Soccer is a passion to many, and KAKA' a long time cher-ished idol from Brazil for many.

The recipe is perfect! We will have locals, and tour-ists coming from everywhere to watch the beau-tiful game, that will again show the world who is the true champion. The Orlando City will soar! We are sure of it. We should all join the party, and go to the games.

During the event KAKA' was quiet, serious, reading his speech. We can see he is still getting used to a different language, preoccupied with speaking it perfectly. After he spoke, we could see his smile again, and it felt great.

Present at the conference were

Phil Rawlins – Orlando City SC Founder and Presi-dent, Don Garber – Commissioner of Major League Soccer, Buddy Dyer – City of Orlando Mayor Tere-sa Jacobs – Orange County Mayor, Adrian Heath – Orlando City SC Head Coach, Kaká – Orlando City SC Player.

Open Practice #filltheBowlIt was great! An open practice, so we all had an idea of what is to come. I saw a team, everyone is comfortable with each other, happy, and didn’t need any intro-ductions. They are all on the same page, knowing exactly what they are doing. Best of all, it is great to watch! I have followed the OCSC since 2012, and I confess, my love for the team was stronger than the game itself, but it improved and they got where they deserved to be.

Today, I was happy and excited to see a team with so much to offer and so much potential. As usual, the fans, the Ruckus,

and everyone making the noise was just perfect.

The superior part of the Citrus Bowl was closed, but the lower was really full fast. I believe close to 10.000 people. Can you imagine how it will be on the game against NY? I can’t wait ! I am sure neither can you. The fans were excited, calling for KAKA’ several times, lots of Brazilians in the audience, kids, Amazing atmosphere. I was glad to be there. I feel thankful that in such difficult times for so many, we can find happiness and pride, right here in Orlando.

Pense Nisso!!!

Danese/Corey is pleased to announce the opening of two concurrent exhibitions :Warren Isensee and Simone Bianchi.

Warren Isensee’s new paintings and drawings continue to offer luminous, emotionally and op-tically charged color within the structure of geo-metric abstraction. However, the new format is less tectonic; the former dense, fully colored sur-faces now yield to an airy, freer figure-ground relationship. In Out of Nowhere, a large terra-cotta plane coalesces around an insignia - an in-ner rectangle of hash-marked squares in black, gray and cream.

The new works further demonstrate Isensee’s ongoing commitment to color and reductiv-ist abstraction. I have always worked to cap-ture the qualities of both color and light that have throughout history activated the surface of paintings... I am exploring how oil on canvas can tap into the rich resonance of luminosity or “glow”.... The goal for each painting is to cap-ture light and contain it in a kind of perpetual motion field that, when married to color, gently pulsates, recedes and advances.(1)

Rendered with an unerringly precise hand, and eschewing the use of tape, Isensee’s work man-ages to avoid the anonymous, impersonal ap-pearance often associated with hardedge paint-ing.

Simone Bianchi, an acknowledged master of the art of the comic book. Born in 1972, Bianchi lives in Lucca, Italy, where he works exclusively with Marvel comics. This is Mr. Bianchi’s first exhibi-tion in New York.

As early as 1960, Warhol’s Superman, and lat-er Lichtenstein’s Drowning Girl, 1963, employed comic book imagery, and by extension, con-firmed its validity as both art and cultural phe-nomenon adding measurably to the emergence of Pop Art.

Bianchi enlivens his characters with physical, emotional and psychological dimension, with supernatural powers and human flaws, with moral purpose and evil intention. From the dra-matic and sensual depictions of Elektra, and the mysterious, valiant Batman, to the monstrous energy of Wolverine, Bianchi elevates his char-acters to epic status and in the process, creates unforgettable images that transcend the for-mal conventions of the comic book genre. Ul-timately, Bianchi’s work exists as pure drawing - a brilliant, deftly executed figurative language that confirms his place in the evolving history of contemporary art.

Page 81: Aboutus by hotspotorlando #45

Do you have a natural gift for music?

I do not know if it's natural or not ... but I started very early in music, remember that with 6-7 years I was already in a conservatory with musical initiation and the first instrument, for a few months, was the guitar, today I don’t play one single note in a guitar, but I even decided I didn’t want the instrument and wanted to play the piano, although didn’t have a pia-no at home. This first phase did not last long, maybe two years.

After I joined the Rudge Ramos Musical Band for Children and Youth in Sao Bernardo do Campos,at age 9, where I resumed the theory lessons and music theory and started the Euphonium, the Piston and then yes Trombone.

At that time many of the musicians decided to study at the Municipal School of Music of São Paulo, I was in a later group to study there.Very early already start-ed playing popular music and playing shows with important artists, so my initial training, had a very erudite nature, I was on top of popular music, today I can still play, but improvise became difficult. During my time at the Municipal School of Music and also playing popular music I joined the Youth Orchestra of the State of São Paulo with Jamil Maluf, but this time, around 1981 I was already starting to play as extra musician in the OSESP, where little by little I was setting myself to the present day.

I'm very systematic, and thus overcome many of the technical barriers of the instrument and music through study systems, I have perfected pitch for ex-ample, if you talk of naturalness to the music, I tried to train that, but have always been involved with mu-sic, at no time had to make the big decision ... what will I do with my life as a profession, music directed me alone.

Who drove you to become a professional in the music career?

At the beginning I started on the guitar because there was a guitar at home, so parents helped. At the Band stage my grandmother helped me in the initial phase. But again, as I started early and already bring-ing some money home as payment of these activities there was no way to discourage me not to go with the music. Certainly the Maestro of Music Band, Romilso Curvelo and also friends were big supporters, helped each other, there was always a group beside me that gave me the strength to continue.

Do you play more instruments?

I play very little piano today, just enough to be able to resolve some harmonic issues. Trombone, Eupho-nium, Low Trumpet. In the case of strings I accompa-nied my daughter for a long time on her cello lessons, and even did some lessons and also many questions to teachers and understood this all too well. I under-stand the universe of strings which is really very dif-ferent from the world of metal instruments.

What are your musical influences?

As trombonist certainly my teacher with whom I stud-ied for one year in Germany, Branimir Slokar. But also others who always tried to exchange information and experience, Per Brevig, Joseph Alessi, Michel Becquet. As a conductor of course the great Maestro Eleazar de Carvalho who played for almost 15 years and with whom I began my conducting studies. More current-ly Roberto Tibiriçá, Ronald Zollman, Andreas Spörri, among others.

What was the water divider of your career, at what moment did you feel it took off?

As I said earlier, difficult to mark a moment of deci-sion or that a career has really taken off but might mark my entry in OSESP and finally signing my con-tract in 1986. My studies in Germany in 1990 for sure also leveraged property in my career as a trombonist. In conducting, my participation as a 'prize winner' in two major international conducting contests, the Eleazar de Carvalho in Rio de Janeiro and the Grand Prix of Regency in Switzerland also marked me a lot.

What are your projects and what do you have in mind for the next decades in the career?

At this point I do not know, I had a great year in 2014 I achieved big dreams in my conducting career, which could even list them: I Conduct OSB in a con-cert at the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro, and still ended up also conducting their own OSB in my last concert of the year, but the City of Arts in RJ too. Govern the Symphonic in Paraná in full Teatro Guai-ra. And even won a gift of being able to govern in a concert at OSESP during the official season of OSESP with 3 magnificent works in November now past.

KINKAS CAETANOBY ZAZA JARDIM

Page 89: Aboutus by hotspotorlando #45

Page 90: Aboutus by hotspotorlando #45

There I was introduced to a Brazilian artist who was there, among friends in common. Sir. Kinkas!

Tell us when art broke into your life and how it all began? Since childhood, I always liked to draw, to make time go by faster without me realizing it, that the art was coming into my life, I grew fond, especially of painting and everything I saw was a born idea and so on. Til today, have this habit when something comes in my head, I try to turn it into something interesting.

When I invest in a good idea on the possibility of adapt it with different wiith different sup-port to each one of them.

"We can not predict our fate.Things happen too fast, when you open your eyes, the time has passed becauseLife is an eternal evolution!and art is no exception. "

For many years, your life revolved around paris, how was this transition?

It was by pure coincidence. I worked in a railroad company in Rio de Janeiro, but always did my draw-ings after working hours, waiting for the traffic (traffic jam) to pass. Attending Art performances of all kinds, against violence, against war, racism, etc., working as a "freelance" for newspapers, maga zines doing graphics every political type, maga-zine covers, visual designs, also drew for UNICEF, among other creations.

My coming to Europe was planned to spend a year outside Brazil and live three months in each city. First I went to study graphic design in Switzerland. After traveled to Paris to live for a period, then met with affection, work and family. Good artistic pros-pects and I kept staying, now decades have passed

What is the depth of your work? What is the challenge? Every day is a challenge, for the art I breathe since I was a Kid. Every moment has a special meaning for me, that is the kind of relationship I have with art 24 hours a day. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night to register any ideas that I can ‘t forget. For me being an artist is to be looking for a new idea every minute, and how it can be applied to each level of creation. The artist has to discover all the possibilities to use with his creativity. Either in painting, design, video, installation, sculpture etc.

Perhaps this eclectic my side to help me dive into my creations

How do you see the art market in Paris and Europe and how is their art inter-preted in the world? The art market is suffering with the European cri-sis in particular Paris, which is living a crisis nev-er seen before, it has lasted a while, but lately the market has been gradually recovering with good prospects for art.

As an example: the FIAC (Fair of Contemporary Art) at the Grand Palais have made good deals late-ly, heating up the market a bit, not to mention the recent museums that were created as the Louis Vuitton Contemporary Art Museum in Garden D 'Aclimatation or the Philharmonic Paris La Villette. But Paris remains an artistic city by excellence and a market, that despite the crisis, is still super at-tractive.

"As for my art in the world"Much pretension on my part" This is the result of many years with my guys, enjoying work and believing what I do, without any fear of facing this market. " I'm glad I'm being represented in the United States by an internation-ally renowned gallery - Miami, New York and Rome. That really work seriously for the Artist. For me it was a surprise they were interested in my work. This little recognition, for me, has a great signifi-cance! I'm in a very good phase at the moment, the trend is that it will last and bring me enough hap-piness, and why not, many collectors.

What are the biggest challenges for the near future? All challenges are welcome, because as I said:"Life is made of challenges and transformations. In art, everything changes every day.Hoping to go further and further with my paintings. The most important and critical at this moment,is tohave enough workenough. "

Swarovski unveiled SWAROVSKI SHINE, the new collec-tion that combines style with function to create a fash-ionable activity and sleep tracking device and a variety of coordinating jewelry, complementing wardrobes of women as they go about their multifaceted lives. Swarovski joined forces with Misfit, a California-based technology company, and contributed its distinctive touch of glamour and sparkle to a new line of wearable tech products.

At first glance, the pieces appear to simply be modern and contemporary jewelry. However the large faceted crystal, which is the centerpiece of the entire collection, is much more than a sparkling eye-catcher; it is a facet-ed crystal stone embedded with expert tracking tech-nology from Misfit. It measures steps; calories burned; distance and even sleep quality; and synchronizes wire-lessly with an app on the wearer's smartphone. With a simple tap, the Swarovski Shine activity tracker lights up to indicate not only the time, but also the status of activity accomplished for the day.

Swarovski Shine accompanies women from day to night, suiting all styles and occasions thanks to a range of nine compatible pieces of jewelry available in timeless and easy-to-wear designs. "With the Swarovski Shine col-lection, we were able to bring our strong jewelry styl-ing point of view, developing versatile pieces which can work with this very practical device to really address modern and multifaceted women," said Creative Direc-tor Nathalie Colin.

SWAROVSKI SHINE Activity Tracking Jewelry is available as a set, or as single products. Sets include the Swarovs-ki Shine; a bracelet, watch band or pendant; and a sleek sport band featuring a 50m waterproof resistance, ide-al for athletic activities and also to monitor sleep. The coordinating watch bands, bracelets and pendants are also available as single products that not only can hold the Swarovski Shine, but are also fully compatible with the Misfit Shine Fitness and Sleep Monitor.

Collection available for pre-orders exclusively in the USA as of January 2015. Available in select Swarovski boutiques in China, Hong-Kong and USA in late March.

Announcing the KODAK IM5 Smartphone: Simplifying the Smartphone ExperienceIconic photography brand Kodak and specialist mobile de-vice manufacturer Bullitt Group announced the launch of the Kodak IM5 smartphone (IM5), a 5” HD Android smart-phone that is as easy to use as it is smart.

Its simple, intuitive user interface offers quick and easy ac-cess to key functions such as calling, messaging, camera and contacts. Advanced remote management software also al-lows trusted friends and family to provide help if needed via a PC or tablet.

As you’d expect from Kodak, imaging is central to the phone’s appeal and the IM5 makes taking, storing, sharing and printing photos quick and simple. The 13MP auto-focus main camera comes with unique image management soft-ware that, at the touch of a button, lets users quickly edit photographs and either display them on the device, share on social media or print using a customized app compatible with home printers as well as future printing and sharing services. Running Android OS expandable to 32GB via a Mi-cro SD card. It also comes with a dedicated app store (called simply “Apps”) that offers users quick and easy access to a hand-picked selection of applications suited to their inter-ests (there is also full access to Google Play).

Aimed at consumers who want a smartphone that is easier to use than what they are currently using (or being offered), the IM5 serves a market segment that - to date - hasbeen poorly served by handset manufacturers.

Adds Eileen Murphy, VP Brand Licensing at Kodak: “Too many memories stay stuck on mobile phones, often be-cause the process for sharing them is too complicated for users; that’s why we’ve partnered on the IM5, the first de-vice in a range of mobile products that takes our heritage and experience in photographic technology and combines it with Bullitt’s expertise in designing high-quality devices for a specific target consumer.”

New Aerokit for the Porsche 911 Turbo and 911 Turbo S

Porsche Exclusive is now offering an Aerokit for the Porsche 911 Turbo models. This performance pack-age includes a new, distinctive front spoiler and a completely redesigned rear deck lid that has a fixed rear spoiler with side winglets while maintaining the automatically adjusting rear wing. The expressive front spoiler with side fins and the striking rear fascia add even more character and sportiness to the car's traditional 911 Turbo silhouette.

Along with an attractive look, aerodynamic function was also a top priority during development. The “Aerokit Turbo” underwent extensive wind tunnel testing and test drives on the test circuit at the Porsche Development Center in Weis-sach, Germany.

The key goal in its development was to improve driving dy-namics by further increasing downforce, while preserving the same coefficient of drag as the standard equipment. This ensured the proper integration of the flow-optimized Aerokit into the harmoniously balanced overall concept of the high-performance 911 Turbo models. For example, the aerodynamic components of the “Aerokit Turbo” generate even more downforce at the front and rear axles, which in-crease driving stability, particularly at high speeds. For in-stance, the total downforce generated by the 911 Turbo adaptive aerodynamics at 186 mph on the track was in-creased by 37 lbs, to 57 lbs, in the Speed setting, and by 40 lbs, to 331 lbs, in the Performance setting.

Customers can order one of two versions of the “Aerokit Turbo” - in the car’s body color or in high-gloss black. In addition to the Aerokit add-ons, the standard side skirts and rear fascia are also painted. In the black version, the air intake cover on the rear lid is also painted black to match the retractable rear wing.

The Aerokit will be available on all 911 Turbo and 911 Tur-bo S models worldwide via Porsche Exclusive, or it can be retrofitted by Porsche Tequipment. The “Aerokit Turbo” can now be ordered from Porsche Exclusive when ordering a new car at the MSRP of $6,950. Aerokit retrofitting will also be offered by Porsche Tequipment through participating authorized Porsche dealers, with an MSRP of $6,886 (ex-cluding paint finish, assembly, and installation). All provi-sions of the vehicle warranty remain in force in the case of retrofitting of the genuine Porsche Tequipment component at an authorized Porsche dealer.

Porsche’s GT family is proud to announce the addi-tion of an exciting new member: the Cayman GT4. This is the first Porsche GT sports car based on the Cayman and features components of the 911 GT3. Clocking a lap time of 7 minutes and 40 seconds on the North Loop of the Nurburgring, the Cay-man GT4 earns the same lap time as the 2011 911 GT3 and positions itself as the new benchmark atop its market segment. The Cayman GT4 clearly demonstrates Porsche’s dedication and passion to continue to promote truly industry-leading two-door sports cars in the future - sports cars that are developed at the Motorsport department in Weis-sach.

The engine, chassis, brakes, and aerodynamic de-sign of the Cayman GT4 are configured for max-imum driving dynamics while retaining the ver-satility and everyday utility that are typical of the two-seater Porsche coupe. Powered by a 385 hp 3.8-liter flat-six engine derived from the 911 Car-rera S engine, the Cayman GT4 transmits its pow-er solely through a six-speed manual transmission with dynamic gearbox mounts. Zero to 60 mph is accomplished in 4.2 seconds; its top track speed is 183 mph. The chassis - which features a 30 mm lower ride height and a generously sized brake sys-tem - consists almost entirely of components from the 911 GT3.

Ready for the race track: The first Porsche Cayman with added downforce at both axlesThe exterior of the Cayman GT4 highlights it as a member of the Porsche GT family and provides a clear distinction to related mid-engine coupes. Three pronounced inlet openings at the front and a large fixed rear wing are part of an aerodynam-ic package which is systematically designed for

downforce. Upon request, the performance capa-bilities of Cayman GT4 can be taken even further. Available options include the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) system, full bucket seats made of carbon fiber composite, and a custom Sport Chrono Package featuring a Track Precision app.

The interior of the Cayman GT4 focuses on max-imizing the experience of unfiltered driving en-joyment for both driver and passenger. Standard sport seats, which are upholstered in a combina-tion of leather and Alcantara(®), offer excellent lat-eral support. The new Cayman GT4 sport steering wheel guarantees ideal control and direct steering feedback due to its compact dimensions.

Technical aspects of this new GT sports car are based on the 911 GT3. As a mid-engine sports car and a prime example of driving dynamics in its class, it follows the conceptual tradition of such cars as the 904 GTS, 911 GT1, Carrera GT and 918 Spyder.

GT sports cars engineered by Porsche embody the most passionate connection possible between ev-eryday driving and Porsche’s competition heritage and highlight the sporty core of the brand: Intelli-gent Performance.

The Porsche Cayman GT4 celebrates its world pre-miere in early March at the Geneva International Motor Show. This vehicle will arrive at U.S. deal-ers in July 2015. The starting MSRP for the Cayman GT4 is $84,600. MSRP does not include a destina-tion charge of $995.
