Purpose:

The purpose of this event is to showcase research that is conducted by VIU students (any student, any program, any

year!). Come and discover the innovative research that students are engaged in at VIU. This event is open to the general

publ ic and the VIU communit y ( family and f r iends welcome!) .

Event:

CREATE is a two- day event (March 26th & 27th, 2013) full of excit ing activit ies. There will be:

CREATE aims t o:

advance the prof i le of student research at VIU;

give students who are already engaged in research: pub lic speaking, presentat ion and

poster making skills; spark interest and research curiosity ;

enable networki ng and the exchange of ideas, met hodologies, etc. ; and

provide a bet t er understanding of what research is and why it is important at VIU.
