About the Western Publishing Association’s Maggie Awards

Smart Meetings is one of the country’s leading corporate event-planning organizations. In 2012, the Sausalito, California-based company received Maggie Award nominations for Best Overall Publication, Best Editorial Layout, Best Overall Publication Design, and Best Single Editorial Illustration. Smart Meetings garnered five additional nominations in 2013, and won the prize for Best Feature Article.

About the Western Publishing Association’s Maggie Awards

The Maggie Awards are presented annually by the Western Publishing Association in recognition of excellence among the publishing industry’s brightest professionals. Each year, winners are selected in nearly 100 editorial and design categories, including Most Improved Publication or Trade, Best Interview or Profile, and Best Use of Social Media. The grand prize comes in the form of the Best Overall Publication award.
