Research & Development

Polyglass’ manufacturing facilities are equipped with custom designed machinery built by

Polyglass engineers. The plants feature a multiple variable advanced compound coating system

that allows a broader application of proven formulations to new carriers, as well as allowing

the production of composite products. In addition, Polyglass laboratories are designed to

implement the highest quality standard testing methods to ensure product performance.

By combining Polyglass’ manufacturing expertise and technology with the ability to purchase

APP Membranes with ADESO® Self-Adhered Technology

ADESO® Technology revolutionized the modi�ed bitumen roo�ng industry by manufacturing dual compound self-adhered membranes using a “true” APP formulation on the top weathering side and an aggressive self-adhered (or self-adhesive) formulation on the bottom side of the reinforcement.

ADESO Technology, and other innovative Polyglass patented technologies featured in our self-adhered membranes, provide for overall superior product and roof system performance. Most ADESO Technology membranes feature SEALLap®, a patented factory-applied adhesive treatment along the side of the membrane. Polyglass’ self-adhered granulated cap sheets also feature FASTLap®, a patented granule-free end lap. Both SEALLap and FASTLap are protected by a removable �lm for easy installation.

Why Use Polyglass APP Membranes?

Polyglass provides a broad range of base, interply and cap APP modi�ed bitumen roo�ng membranes constructed with premium Atactic Polypropylene resins. Superior polyester and/or �berglass reinforcing are incorporated to offer exceptional tensile strength, puncture resistance and �exibility. These membranes are bottom surfaced with polyethylene burn off �lm, to provide our contractors with a product that satis�es speci�ed roo�ng assemblies employing heat welding, torch or self-adhered applications. Cap sheets have a granulated top surface which enhances the membranes UV resistance.
