• The main tools used in nanotechnology are three main microscopes– Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM)– Atomic Force Microscope (AFM)– Scanning Tunneling Microscope (STM)

• Uses nanosized probe to scan objects and materials

• Uses tunneling to detect surface and creates a map of surface
