Setup of Vat from 14% to 15% on Pastel Partner & Xpress

Let’s begin the procedure to change the Vat Setup from 14% to 15%

1. Ensure you have a backup

2. Sole access is required to make the changes.

3. Click on setup

a. Tax

b. General Setting

c. Enter your password

d. Click on percentages tab

e. Change the end date of Vat Standard Rate, Bad Debts & Capital Goods 14% to

31/03/2018

f. Add New Tax Types for Standard Rate, Bad Debts & Capital Goods at 15% with the

start date 01/04/2018 & end date 28/02/2025

g. Click on ok

4. Click on Edit

a. Tax Type Adjustment

b. The following screen will appear

c. Click on next

d. The tax type must only be changed if you used default tax types for General Ledger,

Customers & Suppliers

e. Adjust the inventory tax types as follows:

f. Select Inventory

g. Select from Inventory Item

h. Select to Inventory Item

i. Click on next

j. Select the existing 14% tax type in the field tax type to change

k. Select the new 15% tax type in the field to change to

l. Select Selling & Purchase Tax Types,

m. Note: if you import you will not need to adjust the purchase tax type and vice versa

if you export you will not need to adjust the selling tax type

n. Click on Next

o. Click on Process

p. Click on Finish
