Vision

Our vision is of teachers in primary schools teaching good-quality development education and intercultural education, thereby enabling pupils to learn effectively and understand their role as global citizens living in a diverse society and contributing to a just and sustainable world.

Mission

To provide support to five institutions involved in Initial Teacher Education at primary level to utilise, develop and further extend staff capacity and expertise in integrating development education and intercultural education into ITE programmes.

It is envisaged that this initiative will equip student teachers with the necessary knowledge, values and skills to integrate development education and intercultural education in their classroom practice and across the Primary School Curriculum.
