About Dare to Change Business Pitch Competition
YDC Dare to Change Business Pitch Competition offers all tertiary students in Hong
Kong a chance to step out of their comfort zone and specifies a minimum entry
threshold to enable every single applicant to have a chance to make a pitch; and the
simplicity of preparing for a 5-minute presentation instead of submitting an
elaborated business proposal. Instant feedback and guidance will be given to
participants by seasoned executives and angel investors recruited from leading
business and financial corporations.
The Competition comprises a series of workshops to develop the core competencies
of future entrepreneurs, networking events that provide a platform for students to
meet potential investors, mentorship programs for students to seek advice and
guidance and other post-event activities such as regional business plan competitions
referral for students’ further exploration. The five-minute experience is expected to
change participants' mindset toward entrepreneurship and toward life.
