Here are a few excerpts from conversations:
Terrorism and its forms
During an informal conversation, the discussion veered to the rampant
terrorism in the world today. Kamlesh bhai said You are only talking about
terrorism at the physical level. What about the mental and emotional level?
For example, there is a young woman with a child in her hand and a burden
on her head in the hot sun working with bare feet. How can you allow her to
work like that? But there are people who make them work like that. Terrorism
comes in different forms.
Sleep and its importance
Kamlesh bhai said that when you forcefully wake a child from sleep it can be
very damaging. The subtle bodies are tormented, especially in children. He
said, I have seen it in Babujis and Masters lifetimes. He would never wake
up any abhyasi who was sleeping. He would say, Let the abhyasi sleep.Even if it was time for satsangh, Master would let them sleep.
Speaking further: What is sleep actually? If you analyze this at a
consciousness level, all consciousness is drawn inward towards the causal
body, our soul. Consciousness is drawn inward, but then even when we wake
up we are not aware. You see apples keep falling, but Newton could feel and
observe. Awareness is required. Full awareness is required.
Dreams and Interpretations
Talking about dreams, Kamlesh bhai suggested to us to Make a note in your
diary and forget about them. There are a lot of things that happen when you

are awake. Pay attention to those! Everyone in the room erupted with
laughter.
Electromagnetic Effect on Subtle Bodies
There was some conversation about over-exposure today to electronic
devices. Kamlesh bhai said, Exposure to radiation from devices distorts the
balance between the subtle bodies. Especially in children, they tend to lose
the discriminative faculty. The basis of human existence and spirituality, the
fundamental first step is Viveka. This is affected.
Evolution of Chit
Kamlesh bhai gave a talk in the ashram about helping the subtle bodies to
grow. The talk was specifically focused on expanding chit (consciousness).
Kamlesh bhai gave very important tips and insights to help abhyasis move inthe right direction, including the following:
Without space, there could not have been God. Likewise, without
chit the other three elements, manas, buddhiand ahamkarcannot
manifest.
Consciousness in itself will not expand or evolve, but it takes the
help of buddhi, manas and ahankar to free itself, to expand itself, to
evolve itself.
Consciouness is like a canvas to a painter. Similarly, inner
consciousness can use the play of the other three subtle bodies. Our
regular practice is very helpful in making this happen. For example,
meditation is to regulate our manas or mind. Constant remembrance is
to keep the consciousness fresh and lively, cleaning is to simplify and
purify our entire system, prayers are offered where the greatness of the
Master is imprinted on our heart, allowing us to see our true
insignificance, an act of wisdom.

Importance of Surya and Chandra Nadi
Kamlesh bhai was speaking to some members of the research team, and
during the conversation, he touched upon the need to do further detailed
research on the relationship between the Nadis and the sympathetic and
parasympathetic nervous systems.

He said that the organs relating to the sympathetic nervous system seem to
be related to the Surya Nadi, while the Chandra Nadi is related to the
parasympathetic nervous system.
Comments on the Gita
Kamlesh bhai reminded us that in Chapter 12 of the Gita Lord Krishna
suggests: Perform all your actions in divine consciousness. If by chance you
forget to work in remembrance of the Divine, make sure that the results of
your actions are surrendered to the Lord. This way you can absolve yourself.
He said that Sahaj Marg goes way beyond this: Perform your actions in
divine remembrance. This is the first step. You are doing it for the Lord. That
is the second step. The third thing is that if by chance you form impressions
you can also remove them in the evening. And if you miss all of the above, fall
at his feet and pray. That is step four. So we have such nice checks and
balances. Constant correction is a must.
Speaking further, If you ponder seriously over this, we are limiting the work
that we do on this only to actions. What about the inactions? Impressions
formed by inactions can be dire! Actually most guilt samsakaras are due to
the result of our inactions.
What moves in the Yatra?
Q: What moves in the Yatra? Does the soul actually move?
KDP: It is not like something is moving. Everything is where it is. For example,
say you have thirteen lenses of different colours arranged in a straight line
and you put a light in front of the first lens. If the first lens is clean then light
will pass to the second lens. If the second one is also cleaned it will reach to
the next point. Similarly, as the points are cleaned, the glow of the soul will
touch higher and higher points. Does the soul travel? No! It is all-pervading.
How can all-pervading things move?
Everyone in the room was in awe of the beauty of the explanation and the
simplicity with which Kamlesh bhai explained such an intricate concept.
Developing Sensitivity
Q: How do we become more cognizant of the work done upon us?
KDP: Sensitivity and tolerance go hand in hand. So increase tolerance, and
automatically sensitivity will increase. Try to increase this capacity. We are
always reacting. We may not speak much, but in our minds we are always
reacting. We are always questioning things. Even though we meditate, we are

too busy with the mind. We are not trying to become expert meditators. The
evolution of manas should happen. Thinking must evolve into feeling. If it is
not, then manas is not evolving. The purpose of regulation is to feel things.
We need to feel the condition and be lost in the condition.
Once someone asked Master, how to carry on with the condition. Master said,
Let the condition carry you, instead of you trying to carry the condition!
Attitude of Negation
Q: We need to keep negating and keep pushing ahead on the path, however,
whatever I receive is from my Beloved. So what should be my attitude?
KDP: It is not being disrespectful to say that this isnt it! You feel in your heart,
I need to achieve much more, meaning I still need to changemuch more. I
have to refinemyself much more. At the same time you think you are thebiggest sinner. The moment you think you have made it, you have blown it!
Kamlesh bhai ended this conversation with a beautiful line, which moved each
and everyone in the room:
Gunahgaron ko pucchajo uski rahamat ne
Bahut khafif huve jo gunahagar na the.
When His mercy reached the sinnersThose who were not sinners were affronted.
