Students will complete DRA’s this week, during guided reading. Reading groups will also be working on book projects as a group and will present them to the class next week. Writing: We have published our informational writing books (hoorary!) and will be working on responding with writing to a prompt. Math: We will continue two-step word problems, as well as start looking at using patterns to solve problems, for all four of the operations. An excuse on the Rankin County School form should be turned in within 2 days so you will not be turned in to truancy after 5 unexcused absences. Please make sure your child has a snack every day. Check your child’s planner for behavior and homework updates. Please remember to send lunch money each week or pay online. No checkouts after 1:15. Please be prepared to show proper ID.. The character trait for the month of December is “Generous”. Have your child wear GREEN on Wednesday to encourage this character trait. Grade level spelling words are often repeated throughout the Sitton Spelling assessments. Please make flash cards of missed words and review them regularly with your child. Don’t hesitate to email me if you need anything!
