The Beetle’s Abbey Road – Reparked EditionBack in 1969 our cars didn’t come with Park Assist* technology. Which is probably why there’s a Volkswagen Beetle incorrectly parked in one of the most iconic images of Abbey Road. So, after 50 years, we’ve decided to right that wrong and repark the Beetle, just to show how far our technology has come.

With Park Assist in your car it‘s like having your own personal parking attendant. Your car will practically park itself at the touch of a button. All you have to do is work the pedals. When you want to parallel park your car you just press the Park Assist button and use the indicator before your car passes the parking space. The car’s ultrasonic sensors will scan the space to see whether it is big enough. You then stop the car, select reverse gear and let go of the steering wheel. Park Assist shows you its intended path on your multifunctional display, then puts the car into the best starting position and steers automatically into the space.
