Reason: This is a legal change for service taxes in India.

Solution

Service tax legal change solutions related to the below service tax changes

coming into effect from 1st July, 2012.

o Service Tax legal changes for abatements: Refer theattachment 'Legal_change_Service_abatement.zip'

o Services under the Negative List: The services conform under

the negative list will not attract service tax. Therefore, zero %

tax code should be used for these services which are decided atpurchase order level. Service master maintenance and automating the

negative listed services is not available in SAP. So decide an

accurate tax code at purchase order level to exempt the taxes for

negative listed services, like service tax exemption cases.
