A dai ly bathing ceremony

i s one of l i fe’s s implest luxur ies.

I t i s a chance to prepare yourself

for the day ahead or ref lect on

the day just gone.

Three years ago we set out to re-awaken people to the idea

that bathing could be both rewarding and therapeutic. We

took gorgeously scented pure essential oils and combined

them with organic botanical extracts to create natural,

UK made products that could transform a routine into a

luxurious and sensual ritual.

This approach to bathing is ancient and has been

the inspiration for our name. Influenced by the world’s

many and varied bathing traditions, Abahna borrows from

‘nahana’, Urdu for ‘to take a bath’, as well as the Russian

‘banya’, and Portuguese ‘banho’.

A warm, scented bath is the perfect

antidote to the stresses of modern

LET THE CEREMONY BEGIN

Throughout the ages,

bathing has involved so much more

than just gett ing clean.

In ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome, the pur i fy ing

properties of water were revered with sacred practices,

while across Asia and Africa special ceremonies honoured

its l i fe-giving powers. And sti l l today, Japanese onsen,

Moroccan hammam, and Scandinavian sauna are steeped

in elaborate bathing customs.

In all of these traditions, aromatic oils and natural extracts

have been used for health, beauty and emotional

wellbeing. Divinely scented and brimming with therapeutic

qualities, these ritual preparations are the inspiration for the

Abahna collection.

We’ve designed this range to provide everything you need

to create your own bathing ceremony with exotically

scented soaps, foams, oils, salts and candles to use as part

of a sumptuous, multi-sensory experience.

NATURAL THINKING

Abahna is dedicated to a

phi losophy of nature, so we ensure

our products are as natural , s imple

and effect ive as poss ible.

We believe that plants grown without chemicals have more

benefits and fewer harmful side effects for your skin and

body. As a result, most of the natural actives we use are

organic, such as New Zealand wild flower honey, aloe vera,

and shea and cocoa butters.

Similarly, our fragrances are created from pure essential oils

and our bases are derived from vegetable and plant oils. We

never use synthetic perfumes, artificial colourings, mineral

oils, paraffin, parabens, SLS and SLES and as importantly, we

are against animal testing.

Our philosophy of nature extends to our packaging too; it is

recyclable, we only use paper from FSC approved forests,

and our inks and glues are water-based.

Taking care over our ingredients and packaging means we

can reassure you that every Abahna product will be kind to

your skin and to the environment.

HEAVENLY AROMAS

With the power to transform our

moods and heighten our feel ings,

scent has been used for centur ies for

spi r i tual and medicinal purposes.

The sense of smell is directly connected to the areas of the

brain that govern memories and emotions, so it’s not

surpris ing that aromas can have a profound effect on our

mental and physical wellbeing.

Aromatherapy harnesses the therapeutic properties of

scent to help create a transition from one state of mind to

another. Intensely fragrant essential oils can release tension,

promote clarity of thought and encourage an opening of the

heart.

Following the traditional principles of aromatherapy, we’ve

used pure essential oils to create four fragrance blends

that each evoke a certain mood. With the exquisite natural

scents of exotic flowers, plants, herbs and fruits, they arouse

the senses and add a luxurious and nurturing aspect to

every bath.

The rose petals that make

our Bulgar ian rose otto are

picked before sunr ise when their

f ragrance is at i ts f reshest.

Hundreds of these delicate petals yield just one precious

drop of rose otto essential oil. Its seductive aroma

combines beautifully with the deep, spicy warmth of

Himalayan cedarwood, creating an exotic floral scent at

once grounding and harmonising. This is a blend to inspire

strength, confidence and love.

With a warm, soothing aroma,

emotions back into balance.

Extracted from trees of the Somalian savannah, frankincense

has long been used to enhance meditation and spiritual

quest. Sweet orange adds a fresh citrus edge and

combined with the therapeutic effects of warm water, this

relaxing fragrance restores tranquility and provides deep

benefits for your entire wellbeing.

White grapefruit oil from the zest of the fruit has an uplifting

aroma to encourage happy, positive feelings. It’s a perfect

complement to may chang, a berry-like fruit native to

China with an exotic, piquant perfume and a stimulating

From the flower of the Temple tree, frangipani oil promotes

inner peace and has a deeply feminine, heady aroma. A

favourite of the Moors, orange blossom has been used for

centuries for its exquisitely delicate fragrance and soothing,

calming effect.
