N7:15 is an element address, where the colon separates the File Type and Number (Integer File #7) from the element. Since Integer files have 1-word elements, the address N7:15 points to word 15 in integer file 7.T4:7.ACC is a word address, where the period separates the element from the word within that element. Since Timer files have 3 word elements, the address T4:7.ACC points to the Accumulator word (third word) in element 7 of Timer file T4.B3:64/15 is a bit address, where the slash separates the bit from the element. Since Bit files have 1-word elements, the address B3:64/15 points to bit #15 in word 64 of Bit file B3.I:4.1/3 is a bit address, where the slash separates the bit from the word, and the period separates the word from the slot. This is an alternate way of addressing I/O terminals 16 and higher. Another way to represent this address is to type I:4/19.#N7:3 is a file address. This example refers to Integer Data file 7, element 3. File addresses are preceded by the visual cue of a pound sign (#).Rockwell Software 2005
