AAU Concluded the workshop on “Curricular Design and Delivery”Al Ain University of Science and Technology concluded the workshop on “Curricular Design and Delivery”, which was launched in the Abu Dhabi campus, in conjunction with the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) and Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) international. The workshop was presented by Prof. Janet Engle –Executive Associate Dean and Head of the Department of Pharmacy Practice at University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy, and Prof. Joseph DiPiro –Dean, Professor at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy, which has been continued for two days.

AAU students get the third best pharmacy student thematic poster awardFollowing to their participation in DUPHAT, a group of students from the College of Pharmacy at the University took the third best pharmacy student thematic poster award, and the fifth best pharmacy student quality poster award. On this occasion Dr. Noor Atatreh –AAU Chancellor- commented that the university’s participation in the exhibition is mainly to focus on the importance of employing scholars in scientific conferences and exhibitions that introduce them to the latest developments.

AAU concluded the “3RD Scientific Excellence Competition”Al Ain University of Science and Technology concluded the “Scientific Excellence Competition” for the third time at the Al Ain campus, which has been continued until March 14th , 2016. The participants were the high school students from Al Ain Educational Zone.

AAU President Greeted the University President of Yahia Fares AlgeriaA continuation by AAU in consolidating the bonds of international cooperation in the academic field, Prof. Ghaleb El Refae –AAU President of Al Ain University of Science and Technology, greeted Prof. Ahmed Zaghdar -President of Yahia Fares Algeria University.

The College of Pharmacy organized a workshop on “Molecular Docking, Virtual Screening & Biologics Discovery”The College of Pharmacy at Al Ain University of Science and Technology organized a workshop on “Molecular Docking, Virtual Screening & Biologics Discovery” at Al Ain Campus, which lasted for two days . The workshop was presented by Mr. R.Raghu –Vice President- and Dr. Pritesh from SCHRODINGER company under the supervision of Dr. Mohammad Ghattas, Assistant Prof. in the College of Pharmacy.

A Delegation from King Faisal University visits Al Ain UniversityIn the framework of the consolidation of external and internal relations between Al Ain University of Science and Technology and the international institutions, Prof. Ghaleb al-Refae AAU President, greeted Dr. Khaled Bin Ibrahim Al Husain, Dean of College of Law at King Faisal University, and his entourage Dr. Nashaat Mahmoud Al Abdullah, Faculty Member at College of Law, and Mr. Mohammad Bin Abdulmajeed Al Afqani, Director of Administration at the King Faisal University, under the supervision of Dr. Hussein El Mougy, Dean of College of Law at AAU, and the Deputy Dean Dr. Ahmed Al Jobair.

AAU Participated in the Ajman International Fair for Education and TrainingAnxious to have their own mark in all matters relating to education, Al Ain University of Science and Technology participated in the Ajman International Fair for Education and Training “Aateix 2016” at its fourth session, which was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman. He was accompanied by HH Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown of the Covenant.

AAU –Abu Dhabi Campus- celebrates the Mother’s Day and honors the distinct motherBecause she is everything and distinct, the Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Ain University of Science and Technology –Abu Dhabi Campus- organized a special day on the occasion of the Mother’s Day.The event was attended by the mothers of the academic and administration staff in the university.Dr. Eyad Abdulmajeed talked about the mother and her great position, as well as, Dr. Najwa Abu Haiba said an expressive word about the mother.

AAU –Abu Dhabi Campus- organized a workshop about “The Intellectual property”In collaboration with the Intellectual Property Management –Ministry of Economy- the College of Law at Al Ain University of Science and Technology –Abu Dhabi Campus- organized a workshop about “The Intellectual Property” for the students of the college, specially the students who are currently taking the Intellectual Property course.

AAU Organized a Lecture for Pharmacy Students and Non-pharmacistsIn collaboration with College of Business, the College of Pharmacy at Al Ain University of Science and Technology –Al Ain Campus- organized two lectures entitled: The Clinical Outcomes and Effectiveness Research, for pharmacy students, and PharmacoEconomics for non-pharmacists, for Business students, which presented by Prof. Ivo Abraham, Director, Center for Health Outcomes & PharmacoEconomic Research.

AAU organized a “Career Fair Day”In collaboration with AAU colleges, Al Ain University of Science and Technology organized a “ Career Fair Day” at Al Ain Campus, with the participation of different companies.The fair is aimed at providing an opportunity for graduates and job seekers to meet and network with recruiters and to discover a large number of learning, training and career development opportunities provided by various organizations.

AAU –Abu Dhabi Campus- organized a lecture entitled “Organization’s Culture”The Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Ain University of Science and Technology –Abu Dhabi Campus- organized a lecture entitled “Organization’s Culture”, in collaboration with the Community Engagement Committee in the College of Business Administration. The lecture was presented by Mrs. Shatha Rashed, and it was attended by a number of faculty and students of the college.
