AARUPADAI VEEDU INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY VINAYAKA MISSIONS RESEARCH FOUNDATION DEPARTMENT OF BIOTECHNOLOGY VIRTUAL ALUMNI MEET -2020 26.7.2020 Department of Biotechnology organized a Virtual alumni meet 2020 on 26-7-2020, Sunday at 5.30pm to 7.45pm. The alumni meet started at 5.30 pm, with a welcome speech for by Dr.R.Devika, Professor and Head, Department of Biotechnology. Presidential address was delivered by Dr. K. L. Shunmuganathan, Principal – AVIT and Special address given by Shri. Syed Mohammed, Director - International Affairs – VMRF. Felicitations were given by Prof. P. Rajasekaran Deputy Registrar- Administration, VMRF, Dr. D. Vijendrababu, Vice Principal (Part-time), Dr. S. P. Sangeetha – Vice principal (Academics), Prof. L. Prabhu,- Vice principal (Administration), Dr.GiriRengasami, Dean - CSR, VMRF and Mr. M. Lakshmi Mohan, Head - CIR, AV Campus. In their speech they were highlighted the need of alumni interaction and involvement with departmental strategic plans and overall development of the Institution and University. Followed by importance of alumnimeet was specified by Dr.A.Nirmala, Assistant Professor (Gr-II), Dept. of Biotechnology. Alumni from various batches of students nearly 50 students were registered for virtual alumni meet -2020, 37 students virtually attend the meeting. One distinguished alumni from each batch shared their experiences in their college days and their journey from student to present position and shared their employment details too. Very proud to say that registered alumni candidate many of them holding very key position like manager, Director, team leader, in their current work placeand few of them started their own business. From each batch students were selected for award based on their current position, designation, International relation etc., The Certificate awards like Young alumni service ward, Professional achievement award, Young alumni award-Ms.Anurima(2015-2019 bacth), Early carrier achievement award- Ms.Mohanapriya(2013-2017), Service and Recognition award - Mr.AlokkumarMadeshia (2008-2012 bacth), Young alumni excellence award- Amar vivek, International Alumni achievement award - Ms.Atlantamajumdar (2005 to 2009 bacth) and Public service award - Mr.Sudipto (2005-2009 batch), Young Alumni Service Award-
