Our objective has always been to provide a quality

education to our students, not only to provide skills to

earn living but to inculcate values. When talking about

skills, it is not for job only, engineering skills in true

sense is to be an entrepreneur and to utilize this to

provide opportunities to others. To be a good engineer,

every student has to learn new things and to

face new challenges every day; engineering is not only by teaching, it is more of

learning skills by ourselves . We focus on values education so that one may

contribute to family and society in right direction. It is always unacceptable to

start analyzing the people and situations straight away without working on

understanding, this way one may looses focus on learning and understanding,

being student you need to focus more on understanding and learning in order

to lead a successful life ahead.

Welcome you all to the start of new semester and

wish you all a very happy New Year 2017.

At RVIT, we have been striving hard to comprehend

the broad significance of education while designing

our approach of tutoring. We are trying to mentor

our students to sharpen their intelligence and enable

them to accomplish their aspirations concurrently;

we inculcate values that shapes their attitude,

outlook and conduct that provides a strong foundation for them to tackle the

challenges of life.

We procure the support of strong team of faculty members who

unconditionally place all their efforts to stimulate our students and steer them

to progress at every step in conducive learning environment at our tranquil

campus, we are trying to nurture champions of technology, who, with

intellectual brilliance and ethical excellence, shall emerge out as leaders with a

difference.

Expert Talk on Photovoltaic Technology by

Dr. R. S. Anand

An expert talk on “Photovoltaic Technology and its

Applications” delivered by Dr. R. S. Anand, has

been organized by department of ECE, on November

07, 2016. Dr. R. S. Anand is a Principal Research

Engineer (Retd.) department of Electrical

Engineering, IIT Kanpur and is the principal

investigator of IIT Kanpur part of DST sponsored

Indo-UK “Stability and Performance of Photovoltaic

(STAPP)” project. During the talk, he emphasized on

the utilization of solar energy to increase the

electricity generation along with the various

applications of solar technology and discussed the

emerging areas of research of photovoltaic

technology and available career prospects with

engineering students.

Seminar on “महिला सशक्तीकरण में तकनीकी शशक्षा का मित्व- भशूमका और योगदान ”

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam women cell R V institute of

Technology, has organized a seminar on “महिला

सशक्तीकरण में तकनीकी हशक्षा का मित्व - भहूमका और

योगदान” on November 26, 2016. During the

inaugural session of seminar, Ms. Amita Verma Dy.

Commissioner Industries, Bijnor, Dr. Abhay Verma,

Director, Rajkiya Engineering College, Bijnor, Dr.

Meena Bakshi, Principal, Vardhman College, Bijnor,

Dr. Rajul Tyagi, Principal, GGIC, Bijnor, Dr. Usha

Tyagi, Principal, City Degree College, Bijnor, Ms.

Megha Lekhwani, MD, Xtrude Private Limited,

Haridwar and other invited guest and speakers to this

seminar were present along with Director Dr. N. K.

Singh. The main objective of this seminar is to bring

together the social thinkers, intellectuals and the

leaders of academia to share the outlook on the

women empowerment and to provide a platform to

explore the available opportunities of women

empowerment through technical education and the

vital initiative to be taken for this.

Pool Campus Drive by Myraid Technologies Pvt.

Limited, Noida.

A pool campus drive by Myraid Technologies Pvt.

Limited has been organized at RVIT on December

05, 2016 for the B. Tech. CSE, IT and ECE students;

a large number of students from various engineering

colleges of nearby region participated into this drive.

In this placement drive, five students named

Ashutosh Pandey (ECE), Mehvish Naim, Akansha

Rajput, Shivam Sharma, Arpit Kumar (CSE) got

selected in Myraid Technologies Pvt. Limited. Mr.

Sunny Deshwal, Managing Director, RVIT, Dr. N.

K. Singh, Director and Mr. Pankaj Munjal, Director

(T&D), congratulated all the five students on their

selection.

Volleyball Match organized by Sports Club

The sports club, RVIT keeps on organizing sports

activities for individual and teams throughout the

academic year; it has planned to organize a series of

volleyball matches and in continuation to this the

first match has been organized on December 06,

2016, the other sports events are to be organized in

the coming months. In the first volleyball match of

this series, Ankit Kumar, Saurabh Pandey, Satyam

Pandey, Chahat Singh and Lavi Kumar of Diploma

course in engineering has been declared as the best

performer of the match.

Faculty Development Program on “Human

Values and Professional Ethics”

An eight days faculty development program on

“Human Values and Professional Ethics” has been

organized by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical

University, Lucknow at R V Institute of Technology,

Bijnor on December 08 - 15, 2016; the program has

been inaugurated with the lamp lightening followed

by saraswati vandana by Managing Director, Mr.

Sunny Deshwal Ji & Dr. N. K. Singh, Director,

RVIT, along with the resource person to this FDP

from the value education cell of University and more

than 30 faculty members from different engineering

colleges of nearby region attended this program.

“अहभव्यहक्त-2016”, Interschool Competitions

To encourage the creativity, science and technical

activities among the school students, R V Institute of

Technology organized “अहभव्यहक्त - 2016” on

December 27, 2016; more than 800 students of 60

schools participated in different events of essay

writing, science quiz competition, group discussion

and creative model making in the program. The first,

second and third position winners of the events have

been awarded with cash prizes and memento, some

other student participants have been awarded

consolation prizes also; Ms. Sheetal Pal of KPS

Kanya Inter College, Ms. Rashmi of Oxford Public

School and Mr. Aashish of Oxford Public School has

been awarded first prize in essay writing, group

discussion and creative model making competition,

respectively and in quiz competition, student team of

SVM School, Chandpur has been awarded first prize.

Expert talk on “Digital Payments”

An expert talk on “Digital Payments” has been

delivered by Mr. Nand Kishor, DIO, Bijnor from

National Informatics Centre, GOI on January 03,

2017; The main objective of this workshop was how

to achieve the goal of Digital India. In this workshop

he discussed bout different technologies like USSD

(Unstructured Supplementary Service Data), PoS

(Point of Sale), Debit Card, AEPS (Adhar Enabled

Payment System), E-Wallets, UPI (Unified Payment

Interface).
