    Description

    Description

    The A5WM20/25J High Ambient Series consist of wall mounted indoor units and outdoor condensing units. This range of wall mounted high ambient series uses a more effi cient compressor with R410A refrigerant to provide high energy effi ciency.

    These units are certifi ed to CB Scheme and complied with RoHS. They are manufactured under strict qual-ity control in a factory certifi ed to ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001; and are individually tested for current leakage, gas leakage and electrical insula-tion resistance.

    All units are factory assembled, tested and supplied with internal wirings and refrigerant charge for the ease of installation at site. All models are designed to operate satisfactorily in high ambient conditions of 54C and their capacities tested in accordance to ISO 5151 standards.

    All units are designed with the end user in mind. Its unique features and low sound level enable it to be installed in any application, be it high rise apartments or condominiums, residential homes, offi ces, schools, shops, restaurants and other similar application.

    FEATURES OUTDOOR UNITS

    Outdoor units are designed for operation with R410A and are LVD (Low Voltage Directive) certifi ed. The units are available in nominal capacity from 18000 to 24000 Btu/hr and are shipped with pre-charged R410A refrigerant sufficient for 7.5m refrigerant piping.

    The outdoor units have rotary compressor that include internal overload protection. Unit casing is construct-ed of zinc coated, heavy gauge galvanized steel. Exterior surfaces are of cleaned, phosphatized, and fi nished with a weather resistant baked enamel fi nish. The load bearing panels are adequately strengthened for maximum reliability.

    Condenser coils are of copper tubes bonded to the aluminum fi ns, with each coil thoroughly tested at three test leak stations at the factory to detect any leakage. The outdoor units are then packaged with suitably protective materials to prevent damage dur-ing transportation and handling.

    Condenser fans are of axial type, direct driven by sin-gle phase electric motor ensuring quiet operation. The fan motor is permanently lubricated type with internal thermal protection as standard. The shaft is protected against rusting. The fan motor used is permanent split capacitor type for high effi ciency.

    All outdoor units are factory assembled with terminal blocks for easy wiring during installation.

    FEATURES INDOOR UNITS

    All units are factory assembled including coil, fan mo-tor, fi lters and controls in an insulated casing and are LVD (Low Voltage Directive) certifi ed.

    Indoor unit casings are constructed with strengthened plastic material and the exterior surfaces with clean fi nishing. Knockouts are provided for unit electrical power, refrigerant piping and drainage connections. The panels are fastened by screws.

    Evaporator coils are constructed of copper tube and aluminum fi ns. The fi ns are bonded to the tubing followed by pressure and leak tested at the factory. Evaporator fan are of crossfl ow type with direct drive motor as standard. The fan is statically and dynami-cally balanced for quiet operation. The fan motor is of permanent split capacitor type for high effi ciency and is mounted in a manner to minimize vibration and noise. Five selectable fan speed settings are avail-able for low indoor sound level.

    Wireless remote control is available as standard, while wired control is available as option. The controls shall be microprocessor based and provide ease of use to end users at a touch of the buttons. The wire-less control provides selectable modes, fan speed se-lection, temperature setting and other functions such as timer setting, quiet mode, sleep mode, automatic air swing and turbo function. All indoor units are pro-vided with washable fi lters that are easily accessible for cleaning.

    If the pipe is too long, both the capacity and reliability of the unit will drop. As the number of bends increases, resistance to the fl ow of refrigerant system increases, thus lowering cooling capacity. As a result, the compressor may become defective. Always choose the shortest path and follow the recommendations as tabulated below:

    * Be sure to add the proper amount of additional refrigerant. Failure to do so may result in reduced perfor-mance.

    Remark: The refrigerant pre-charged in the outdoor unit is for piping length up to 7.5m.

    Additional Charge

    The refrigerant is pre-charged in the outdoor unit. If the piping length is less than 7.5m, then additional charge after vacuuming is not necessary. If the piping length is more than 7.5m, then use the additional charge value as indicated in the table.

    A5WM25J & A5LC25C with 12m piping length, additional piping length is 5.5m. Thus,

    Indoor Clearance

    The indoor unit must be installed in such a way so as to prevent short circuit of the cool discharged air with the hot return air. Please follow the installation clearance shown in the fi gure. Do not place the indoor unit where there could be direct sunlight shining on it. Also, this location must be suitable for piping and drainage, and be away from doors or windows.

    The refrigerant piping can be routed to the unit in a number of ways (left or right from the back of the unit), by using the cut-out holes on the casing of the unit (see fi gure). Bend the pipes carefully to the required position in order to align it with the holes. For the side and bottom, hold the bottom of the piping and then position it to the required direction (see fi gure). The condensation drain hose can be taped to the pipes.

    Outdoor Clearance Where a wall or other obstacle is in the path of outdoor units intake or exhaust airfl ow, follow the installation guidelines below. For any of the below installation patterns, the wall height on the exhaust side should be 1200mm or less.

    OUTDOOR UNITS

    GeneralUnits shall be completely factory assembled including coil, compressor, fan motor(s), and controls in sheet metal casing. Units shall be tested and rated in accor-dance with international ISO 5151 standards.

    CasingUnit casing shall be constructed of zinc coated, heavy gauge galvanized steel. Exterior surfaces shall be cleaned, phosphatized, and fi nished with a weather resistant baked enamel fi nish. The load bearing pan-els shall be adequately strengthened for maximum reliability.

    CompressorCompressors shall be hermetically sealed rotary for models with a nominal capacity from 18000 to 24000 Btu/hr. The compressors shall have internal overload protection.

    Condenser CoilCoils shall be constructed of copper tube and alumi-num fi ns. Aluminum fi ns shall be bonded to copper tubing. The coils shall then be pressure and leak test-ed at the factory.

    Condenser FanCondenser fan shall be of axial type with direct drive motor as standard. All fans shall be statically and dy-namically balanced for quiet operation.

    Fan MotorThe fan motor shall be of permanently lubricated type with inherent internal thermal protection as standard. The shaft shall be protected against rusting. The fan motor shall be of permanent split capacitor type for high effi ciency.

    Ease of installationOutdoor unit shall have factory assembled terminal blocks for easy wiring during installation.

    INDOOR UNITS

    GeneralUnits shall be factory assembled including coil, fan motor, fi lters and controls in insulated casing. Units shall be tested and rated in accordance with interna-tional ISO 5151 standards.

    CasingUnit casing shall be constructed with strengthened plastic material and the exterior surfaces with clean fi nishing.Knockouts shall be provided for unit electri-cal power, refrigerant piping and drainage connec-tions. Panels shall be fastened by screws.

    Evaporator CoilCoils shall be constructed of copper tube and alumi-num fi ns. Aluminium fi ns shall be bonded to copper tubing. The coils shall then be pressure and leak test-ed at the factory.

    Evaporator FanEvaporator fan shall be of crossfl ow type with direct drive motor as standard. The fan shall be statically and dynamically balanced for quiet operation.

    Fan MotorThe fan motor shall be of permanent split capacitor type for high effi ciency and shall be mounted in a manner to minimize vibration and noise.

    ControlsWireless remote control shall be available as stan-dard, while wired control shall be available as op-tion. The controls shall be microprocessor based and provide ease of use to end users at a touch of the buttons. The wireless control shall provide selectable modes, fan speed selection, temperature setting and other functions such as timer setting, quiet mode, sleep mode, automatic air swing and turbo function.

    FiltersFilters shall be easily accessible by opening the in-take grille. Filters shall be fabricated from synthetic media and shall be of washable type.
